If Orton wins it from Shane, then it very likely is about to get caught up in the WWE Title lineage, and then just like the Man Championship, Del Rio will lose it to Show to get it to swap brands and then it'll end up on Bryan.

So I hit a snag. Shane McMahon wins the Hardcore Title in May 2007 but doesn't wrestle another match until 2009. Should I strip him of the belt, imposing a "30 day rule" of not defending the title, or should I let him keep it all the way to No Way Out '09 when Orton defeats him?

I have used this analogy before, but I believe it now more than ever.

Since Best in the World last June, ROH's incredible momentum they had through 2010 into 2011 reached its climax, and ever since, it has largely stalled.

A lot of people (including myself) have called the promotion's product since that time lackluster, sparse, and underwhelming. There's a lot of truth to that.

But one thing they have done is set up an elaborate, glorious, path of dominoes that leads to something really special at Final Battle.

Tomorrow, the first dominoes fall.

“Glory By Honor X” Tag Team Rematch
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King)

This one is tough to predict. WGTT have a title shot set for the WM Weekend shows, but ANX also have a title shot in the bank that has yet to be scheduled. I predict Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team cement their heelish ways by targeting Titus's leg, and ride that to victory. I wouldn't be shocked to see them get cocky in their dominance and lose by fluke roll-up though.

Special Attraction Tag Team Match
The Amazing Red & "Technical Lightning" TJ Perkins vs. The House of Truth ("Unbreakable" Michael Elgin & Roderick Strong) w/ Truth Martini

Elgin and Strong both have title shots upcoming so I can't imagine the little guys are there to do anything but make Elgin look like a BEAST. House of Truth win.

NO DQ - Grudge Match
Jimmy Jacobs takes on "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen

This could be the MotN if they book it right, and from a character standpoint it's very interesting to see how the "reformed" Jimmy Jacobs handles things. He said on a recent video wire that he was going to fight Evil with Evil, but Corino says that he will talk Jimmy out of that. Should be a bloodbath. Kevin Steen continues to haunt ROH and build towards the inevitable match with Davey Richards that will be the biggest thing in ROH since the Final Countdown tour.

ROH World Television Championship
Jay Lethal defends against "The Dominant Male" Tommaso Ciampa w/ The Embassy LTD

TITLE VS. STREAK. Tommaso Ciampa brings home the gold for the investors of Embassy, Ltd. and we get more delicious overacting from Barrister R.D. Evans. Man I'm booking the heels strong tonight!

ROH World Tag Team Championship
Jay & Mark Briscoe defend against The Young Bucks

But the heel run ends here. The Briscoe Brothers are a lock to retain, in a match that has MotN potential. The Briscoes ARE ROH, and it just doesn't make sense for the Bucks to be the ones defending against WGTT at the WM Weekend PPVs, and it makes even LESS sense for them to be the ones defending the titles against CHIKARA at Synergy, given that they're frequent CHIKARA guest stars (and also that the Briscoes started the whole angle!). The Bucks stop here, which will allow for the rematch with ANX at Showdown in the Sun, presumably.

Main Event
“Young Wolves Rising”
ROH World Champion Davey Richards & Kyle O'Reilly vs. "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards & Adam Cole

This is the toughest match to predict on the card, but I will go with Team Ambition, Davey Richards and Kyle O'Reilly. I have a hunch where they're going with this whole Davey Richards thing, and I think it makes the most sense from the most different viewpoints to really get the NYC crowd's dander up by putting Davey over their beloved Eddie Edwards AGAIN, in some fashion. If I had to guess, I would say that the finish will be O'Reilly pinning Cole.

Definitely should be a great show despite the lack of a World Title match, and I highly recommend a purchase!

In case anyone is wondering about potential future Top Ten list crackers, there's not a ton of active guys in the immediate vicinity of 9.

Unless you think Harley Race or Bret Hart are World Title threats in 2012.

Taker has 7, I don't see him getting 2 more reigns.

Jericho with 6 is really the closest thing to a threat, and I don't see him getting THREE more reigns.

Punk and Big Show both have 5.

EDIT: Really, aside from some shifting inside the list itself, the biggest change to the Top Ten List in the next couple years is probably just going to be The Rock falling out of it entirely once Orton hits 10.

Well, it took Triple H 9 1/2 years from his first World Title to win #13.

Cena's currently about to hit 7 years since his first World Title.

So maybe a little over 2 1/2 more years so that way Triple H can still say he did it quicker.
