Total BS call. Would've made it a 3 point game and given the Bears at least a shot to get a recovered onside kick. But they had a pretty brutal first quarter, so I won't blame it on the refs. Still hurts though, 1-2 is not the best start to a season...

Carolina Panthers (0-2) - Cam Newton just lit up Green Bay, he'll do the same to a banged up Jaguars team and finally get his first win.

New Orleans Saints (1-1) - Texans looking good, but betting against the Saints in the Superdome doesn't win very often.

San Francisco 49ers (1-1) - Just a feeling here. Maybe Crabtree finally explodes for a huge game.

Miami Dolphins (0-2) - Miami will get in the win column, another tossup though.

New England Patriots (2-0) - Brady will bring the Bills back down to earth, for at least a week.

Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) - Rebound game for the Steelers, and the Seahawks are without Rice. This won't be close.

Buffalo Bills (1-0) - I don't know about this, even though Buffalo won big last week. If they control McFadden, they roll.

Washington Redskins (1-0) - The 'Skins handled the Giants pretty well, and the Cardinals are one-dimensional.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) - If the Bucs lose this, they're in trouble. They bounce back here.

New York Jets (1-0) - Jaguars surprised me last week, but they aren't good enough to beat the Jets.

Chicago Bears (1-0) - I can see the Bears upending the Saints here. They don't give up anything deep normally, and Brees will have to be patient and go underneath all the time. And he's missing Colston. And Urlacher is playing for his mother who just passed away. He's going to dominate.

Cleveland Browns (0-1) - Gut pick. If Peyton Hillis gets going, the Browns can win this.

Detroit Lions (1-0) - Eric Berry done for the year. Chiefs have undersized corners. Calvin Johnson will eat them.

Green Bay Packers (1-0) - Newton looked great, but now he'll have Clay Matthews in his face. This is a super bowl D he's facing. I don't see a repeat performance.

Denver Broncos (0-1) - Cincy surprised many (me included) last week, but I see Denver winning here. Not sure why...

Houston Texans (1-0) - Beatdown the Colts, run game didn't miss a beat without Foster and Foster may be playing. Schaub and Andre are an unreal combo. etc etc.

New England Patriots (1-0) - The Pats D needs to step up. Brady was unreal, but the D was not. Brady will be masterful again here though.

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) - This is a tossup, but I see Vick going into his old stomping grounds and winning. Though they have to stop Turner. If Steven Jackson was healthy last week, who knows what would've happened.

Chicago Bears - Yeah, favourite team bias. If the O line can give Cutler some time, I think he gets the job done.
Houston Texans - No Manning = HUGE problems for the Colts.
Kansas City Chiefs - Brad Smith helps but the Bills still aren't good. The Chiefs are.
Tennessee Titans - Not sure about cutting Garrard, sure he wasn't the best, but Luke McCown isn't proven either and Gabbert is a rookie.
Cleveland Browns - Cincy has huge issues, Cleveland could be up and coming.

Anyway, did Frald's first quest, and on the way to do his second. Though on the way to find this Hrothwolf guy in some cave, I keep finding other stuff to go and loot. Found a wizard's staff in that ruin right near Ald'Ruhn, that'll be useful later. Got a daedric shortsword from a dremora lord also. And some robe with a constant effect of feather 50 points on it! Looks weird fighting in it though, so I took it off for now, but the enchantment is pretty sick. Anyway, character update as of right now:

Finished Skink's quests (at least, until I'm a wizard), so went back to do all of Edwinna's. Did all that, grabbed all the books that were there as well, and now am done with her's. I think I'm gonna go to Ebonheart and do Frald's legion quests next. Then the main guy's, so I can get Chrysamere and the Lord's Mail. Then I will have finally completed one of the guilds.

I'm playing the xbox version, so I don't even have that option!

Finished all the quests from the orc dude in Vivec. Went to Ald'Ruhn and did some of Edwinna's mages guild quests. Can't do the later ones as I'm not a conjurer yet (though I'm close), and I remember all her later quests involve looting dwemer ruins. Now doing Skink's mages guild quests. After that, I think I'll do all the Telvanni mouth quests from Sadrith Mora. We'll see, back to the game!

Yeah you basically nailed it. Super heavy, not going to use the axe and my orc hammer is better than the staff, and I likely wouldn't be able to sell them unless I take the time to do the creeper/mudcrab trick. Not to mention, Obould was right at capacity for encumberance anyway. I DID feel bad leaving that daedric helm though, never found one before. I've normally gone with the Masque of Clavicus Vile, until I found the Bearclaw helm this playthrough.

After finishing Hrundi's quests, time to go to Ald'Ruhn for Percius's quests. I remember these being difficult from my earlier playing days.

First one has Obould going to Vas, which is out of the way from anywhere. Gotta help some chick kill the necromancers. Ironically, this chick keeps summoning an ancestral ghost at the sign of battle. Anyway, we tear apart this place, and I go back to get my reward.

Second quest, go to Sargon and kill some dude. Silt stride to Khuul, and walk from there. On the way, I find 3 different caves. First one is simple enough, though the last guy has ebony boots. Sick! Second one is called Ilu-Dad or something. Kill a couple people, and a couple scamps. Swim to some other area of this place, and get attacked by 2 dremora lords. That was surprising, and a hell of a fight. Find a locked and trapped door, pick and untrap it, open it, and get rushed by my first golden saint. This one has an ebony longsword and ebony shield. Thankfully my orc warhammer knocks it down, so I deal most of my damage with it on the ground. I find plenty of treasure in here. Daedric battle axe (leaving it), daedric staff (leaving it), daedric shield (definitely taking it!), and a daedric face of inspiration. I'm going to come back here for the helm later, so I can put it on a shelf in one of my houses. Pretty sick find.

Anyway, I finally find the stupid place, and go on a killing spree. Find the dude I'm supposed to kill, I kill him, and take his ebony cuirass.

Next, to Saturan to kill some bandits. This was pretty simple, it's not too far away from Suran. Find it, kill some people, leave. All in all, a good couple of hours playing. Stats:

So Obould goes back to the fighter's guild quests. Apparently, killing that corprus stalker in that trader's place in Tel Mora (where you have to steal the grandmaster's retort) was one of the quests. Huh. Anyway, these quests are solid. First one had me going to some dwemer ruin with this chick to hunt down a daedroth. Killed that *****.

Second one had me going to some mine and dicing up some nix hounds to save the miners. Easy enough.

Next, gotta go kill this Rels Tenim dude. Finding Shallit is next to goddamn impossible, though I found an ancestral tomb instead. Which had a door to Shallit in it. Sick. Before going in there though, might as well explore this tomb place. Pretty small, a couple bonelords..............and some weird mage chick. My orc warhammer doesn't kill her in a couple shots, and she looks super pale and ****. Vampire? Anyway, I eventually kill her, and get her ring. Resist normal weapons 40%, reflect 20%, fortify acrobatics 10 points. Constant effect. Pretty damn sweet.

Then Obould travels into Shallit, kicks some ass and finds this Rels dude. Kill him too, and loot his little hideout. I like this Hrundi guy, gives me quests where I can get some sweet stuff.

Finished all of Big Helende's quests. None were very hard, even the one where I had to steal that dude's ebony staff. He was Mistress Therana's personal retainer or something, but I just hid behind the bookcase and stole it, among a few other things. So I've done all the regular thieves guild quests, except for Gentleman Jim Stacey's quests. Going to do the Sadrith Mora fighter's guild quests right now though, just so I can advance to the rank of Protector and finish Eydis Fire-Eye's quests.

Got the Bearclaw helm, which is awesome. Fortifying endurance and agility by 40, constant effect? **** yes! Endurance is now at 127. Started doing Big Helende's thieves guild quests too. Then I'll likely do the fighter's guild quests in Sadrith Mora, saving Percius Mecius's (sp?) fighter's guild quests until the end, because I remember them being a little difficult. Got that chick's glove, after she attacked me because I killed the little wood elf. He told me she wasn't taking appointments, I disagreed and let him know my thoughts physically. Then killed her too when she attacked me.

Anyway, went to Vivec. Talked to someone in the mages guild about Bearclaw, was told the last of his line (can't remember his name already) was in Gnaar Mok. Went there, was told he was just south of the city, killing rogue netches. Found him, and his very well armored guards. And giant, but dead, bull netches too. And a cave. Went in the cave first, killed some people, and looted the place. Have some dwemer pauldrons now. Back outside, tell this guy that he's been taking credit that isn't his, and he attacked me. And his guards kicked my ass. More than once. I eventually managed to kill them, though only after using some of my more damaging scrolls and such. Now decked out in full dwemer armor, along with a steel tower shield and the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Going to head back to that shrine place for the helm of that Bearclaw guy. Then decide what quests I want to do next!

So I'm heading west from Dagon Fel, heading to this Assumanu place to get this maid token thing, fighting a gillion cliff racers on the way, when I find a daedra statue. Malacath as it turns out, with 4 decked out orcs there. Got wasted the first time in 3 hits. Was way more cautious the second time, took two of them out with arrows. My marksman skill was 19 at the time. Thankfully I had just over 200 arrows (all of which are gone now). I used my orc warhammer to pummel the crossbow orc, and then the 4th came from outta nowhere (didn't see him previously). Took a couple tries, but I killed him too.

Kept going west, found a daedric ruin, though the wrong one it turns out. It's the one that has the actual spirit of Malacath in it's statue. I've never done this quest before, so this should be pretty cool. Couldn't catch all of what he said, and my journal isn't very helpful in this quest. I'll look into it after I grab the maiden token. Any hints or suggestions on where to start looking? I know this about the bearclaw helm, though I already have the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Anyway, continuing to Assumanu.

Only real upgrade from that daedric place was my new orc warhammer, which replaces my steel one. Now to Assumanu to get some token of some sort, and it's in the middle of nowhere. I love how this is kind of becoming a semi-playthrough topic for a few people.

I got mostly imperial templar armor, with imperial steel boots and pauldrons, steel tower shield, and the masque of clavicus vile (sp?). Doing the imperial legion quest that'll take me to that daedric ruin northwest of Hla Oad though, so maybe something will show up there!

Saw this topic a little while ago, and I actually started a new character about a couple weeks ago (xbox). This game is actually so goddamn fun. I got Oblivion a while back, but I never got into that game like I did with Morrowind. Looking forward to Skyrim when it comes out too.
