For purposes of the next topic, I'd like to revise my list of used champions:

[Gangplank, Veigar, Singed, Nunu, Taric, Zilean]

GP and Veigar will always be on my favorites list, methinks, but I've been expanding my horizons a bit. My jungle Nunu is pretty damn good (despite the fact that Nunu, while capable of getting fed, is lamentably incapable of carrying a game himself), and I enjoy supporting as Taric and Zilean a little more these days than Soraka ever since they changed her. And Singed is just beastly and I've been playing him a lot in the last month and a half or so.

Disagree. Perhaps just because recently gas prices have gone down by about 30 cents in my area. It seems to fluctuate more than anything these days. And there would be MASSIVE backlash if it got anywhere near five bucks a gallon.

And just for the record, not all gays are out on a crusade. Yes, we want the same privileges and rights as straight people do, but the really truly obnoxious ones are a vocal minority.

This makes me raise a little bit more of an eyebrow, but I'm still willing to give SW the benefit of the doubt. Whether or not the flight attendants are homophobic is kind of irrelevant in this situation. If people are complaining, you have to mention it to the person they're complaining about. This is a "don't shoot the messenger" sort of a deal here, the way I'm seeing it. I'm certainly not biased against gays, obviously, but this is just one of those situations that when you get into it as someone working for the airline, there's no real "right answer". You can't just tell people who are complaining, "no, you're wrong" - hell, they probably didn't even see the incident in question.

My piece being said, it's posts like this that make me really want to side with the gay couple anyway just to spite those who aren't.

Stupidly biased article is stupidly biased. I'm willing to give SW the benefit of the doubt here. Is it less likely that people would've complained if it was a straight couple doing whatever it was they were doing? Almost certainly. But that puts the bigotry on the shoulders of the nearby passengers, not the airline, and sadly, since airlines are a service industry, they have to react when there are complaints about behavior. I feel like unless a stewardess threw them off the airplane without provocation from other customers of the flight that the only people at fault here are the passengers who complained and potentially the lesbian couple for making a scene about it. As a gay man, I can safely say that Bosh is right about the whole "Gay Pride Crusade™" thing - it's always stupid to do in public and only EVER makes a situation worse, and I can most definitely see it happening in this situation and warranting a removal from the flight.

I told myself I was only going to watch one and dismiss it. Because I don't like happy things.

The process basically went like this.

Cue a couple more episodes in which mental shutdown/confusion occurs, and then basically a prolonged "why am I still watching this" that eventually turned into an "I love this".

I felt a lot of emotions tonight.

Long story short, I watched six episodes.

I love Pinkie Pie. So much.

Escape From Monkey Island.

The "dark horse" of the series that actually has some of the best writing in the series but gets virtually ignored because of (admittedly) terrible graphics and a horrendous control scheme. Ridiculously underrated.

Oh yeah, and just for the record, I'm not agreeing with Andel here. I actually like Lady Gaga. She's a pretty incredible performer, and her music is mindlessly catchy enough to be attention-grabbing, with interesting lyrics and passable vocals from someone with a naturally good voice. Just making a general point.

Dear God is this soundtrack awesomely addictive.

It's like a mix between Hairspray, The Lion King, and The Sound of Music with hilarious lyrics and Producers-level orchestration.

With a metal track.

I just realized it's basically the only thing I've listened to for the last three days when I was on my second listen-through on a plane flight.

Musical theatre fans: If you don't have this soundtrack, GET IT. This music is awesome.

Definitely the best and most epic game I've ever played.

It was actually really close, too - if the other team had been just a little bit organized, they probably still would've won, despite the fact I could two-shot almost all of them at the very end. They actually got so far as taking one of our nexus turrets......so yeah, epic game.

Anybody want to join me in breaking myself into ranked games sometime soon? Maybe one of these many people who seem to be breaking into ranked games themselves now, I could join some of you. I'm in a real slump right now and need to do some playing with people who know what they're doing so I don't feel like I have to carry a whole team on my shoulders and fail miserably (something I've had an unfortunate tendency to do recently due to the terribadness of my recent teams, and so my scores are really sucking so far). Just a thought.

Might have to give Farscape a try. Sounds kind of like Babylon 5. Minus the campaign part. But other than that. The whole overarcing story, A+ sci-fi, amazing character development, plots, villains, first few episodes being not so great, that kind of thing.

Except likely minus the whole "being the best show ever" thing that B5's got going for it.

"Datalore" is one of the only decent episodes of the first season in my pretentious opinion!

Agreed. Not that all the others are terrible, but this is one of the only ones that stands out as good at all.
