Finally got around to starting the Mordin recruitment process. At the rate I'm actually playing it's going to take a miracle to get this done before ME3 hits - much of my available time today was wasted downloading all the Gears 3 DLC (since the season pass is f***ing ridiculous and doesn't let you queue them up, instead forcing you to sit at the main menu while it downloads).

The AC multiplayer is in-universe described as a training simulation for Templar agents, using a network of Animi (or however the hell you pluralize Animus). In Brotherhood, it's just window dressing, but in Revelations, they add a bunch of unlockable text and videos as you move up the ranks showing Templar influence through history from their perspective, rather than that of the Assassins like we've been stuck getting since AC2. As far as I know, they end when you reach level 50 the first time, despite there being another 4950 levels to go after that. Stupid "prestige" systems.

Demo for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning released yesterday. When you start it up, it unlocks a special armor for ME3; when you finish it, a special weapon. The demo consists of a handful of story missions from the beginning of the game, then turns you loose into the world on a 45-minute timer.

I would've been playing more tonight, but that Kingdoms of Amalur demo makes you wait out the 45 minutes of freeroam they give you if you want the ME3 weapon unlock. (Also, new girlfriend, so a lot of what used to be gaming time is being spent on the phone instead.) So I'm still exploring the new Normandy post-Freedom's Progress.

I decided to restart with a lv. 60 ME1 import instead. Kept getting killed. Doesn't help that I suck at third-person shooters, but maybe the lower-level enemies will help.

I think it'll be more like the DA2 bonuses from the Signature Edition/demo/everything else. There's no file for them on your hard drive, it just connects to your EA account which tracks what you're allowed to use and unlocks them when you log into the game.

Well, yeah, I didn't mean "like" in the sense of "exact same battle," just "like" in the sense of "holy s*** how am I supposed to beat that thing?" As it is in ME2, it's a pretty awesome moment when you first realize it, but it pretty quickly loses that feeling and becomes just another battle against something bigger than usual.
