Rock, the good news is that you can decide very quickly if it looks good or not. Obviously, faces look very different in-game than on the creation screen. Early on, when Anderson starts talking to you on Earth, you stop to answer a question. I think it might be the first "choice" of the game. It shows Shepard's face, fully lit in solid lighting. That's as far as you have to go.

Actually, you can't.

I know it seems weird, but the early missions (Earth and Mars) make the character look a lot better thanks to the angles they use. It's once I got past there is when I saw what the character will look like for the rest of the game.

I don't know about you, but it's like "looking good... looking good... looking goooooood... WHAT THE F***?!!?" I've learned though that if I don't like the characters look early on it's just going to get worse, so if the initial look is off I usually quit.

Me and Character Creation systems don't get along.

I've already restarted ME3 at least a dozen times trying to get my FemShep right, and every now and then I test a new face that if I would like it enough, I would completely start over.

The amount of times I've started ME2 trying to find the right face might have been 50+.

This is a problem with any game that has a character creation system that's based on sliders and not preset faces. Also, any system that doesn't allow you to change your appearance down the road. It drives me nuts if there's just one thing I don't like about the character, and it takes all my strength NOT to restart a character I've played as for multiple hours.

I will sit there for an hour tweeking a face, not like it, start over and spend another hour. I'm sick like that.

Check the code I just put. It's very, very similar. My original Shepard. Just minus the cool custom hairstyle.

It's definitely different. Yours is just too stretched out and the lips are a lot bigger.

My biggest problem with most femsheps is the nose. Sometimes the nostrils look so damn big.

Honestly, I've searched through ME2faces so many times for a decent MaleShep. Nothing really works with the custom editor, they all look like they're 40 and have squinty eyes.

This is probably the best Custom MaleShep:

I've never liked Default MaleShep, which is a big reason why I play FemShep. Since my options were either the default MaleShep (which I don't care for) or the ugly-ass MaleSheps in the create-a-shep, picking FemShep was a lot easier cause I made a great looking FemShep in every single game.

Devil's in the details, Halo.

Eye positioning and makeup use, complexion, and even the lip shape are different.

She doesn't look great in a couple angles, but in certain angles she looks awesome.

One thing I've noticed is that every male Shepard I've brought over has looked better in ME3, and nearly every female has looked worse. It's odd.

In ME1 and 2, it was nearly impossible to make a MaleShep any better than average. ME3, you can finally made a solid looking MaleShep.

Most good MaleSheps I've seen involved facemods (like the one I was using on my renegade run).

FemShep in general got nerfed big time. The trade off is that it's easier to make a decent looking Shepard, the bad is that making a super-hot Shepard is tougher than ever.

Hence why I said "every" and not "a few of them." Understandable since there's so many variables over the course of the series, but I think it's pretty important to have some level of diversity in the playthroughs and I think it'd be pretty lousy to playthrough once and then just youtube every other scenario.

If Wrex dies, Wreav is in charge of the Krogan clans in ME2 and ME3. Also, you have to had destroyed Maelon's data. Without Maelon's data, Eve dies in the process of creating the cure for the genophage. If you haven't told Mordin about the sabotage yet, you attempt to stop him from going up. With a high enough paragon/renegade rating, you can convince him that curing the genophage isn't the right idea because Wreav is a brutal leader who will immediately go after the council races. Mordin realizes that without Eve to keep him in check, the Krogans will seek revenge and the results would be catastrophic. At which point, Mordin tells Shepard that he'll go into hiding to convince Wreav that he died fixing the Shroud. Since Wreav is pretty dumb, he'll never notice the sabotage.

There's a lot of people complain about how what you do "doesn't matter" and while I haven't seen the ending enough to judge it, I ran into Conrad Verner. He ended up jumping into the way a shot from a Cerberus operative, but it turned out the gun was sabotaged by a girl named Jenna.

If you don't remember Jenna, she was the girl from Chora's Den in the first game that was acting as an informant for C-Sec. Her sister Rita wants her out of Chora's Den so you talk to a detective and get her out of there.

If I hadn't done this piddly little sidequest from the first game, Conrad Verner would be dead. That means more to me than any decision I make affecting or not affecting the ending.

Ashley/Kaiden were in there to pad the roster. Ashley's dialogue was the worst among all party members and her story was bland. I have to assume the same would hold true if Kaiden was in her place. It's weird how they didn't just sub them out for Wrex. It would have been easy enough to write him off Tuchanka ("if I want to fight for my people, I want to fight on the front lines, and that front line is on the Normandy blah blah") and sure would have made a lot more fans happy.

Adding yet another character that could potentially die would just make for more dialogue and character interactions that could be put in for nothing. They wanted a character you HAD to have alive and that you HAD to have in your party for the opening mission. Kaiden/Ashley fit that.

Would I rather have Wrex? Absolutely. But they wrote themselves into a corner by having the option to kill Wrex (hell, isn't it possible to not even recruit him in the first game?). Putting in all the elements required for a full crew member that people might not even have? They'd have three characters like that.

Besides, I like Wrex's role in the sequels. It sucked not having him in your squad, but I liked what they did with him as a character.

1. Miranda, if you're trying to avoid Cerberus, why do you look the same way and, more importantly, DRESS the same way. I understand not wanting to get facial surgery or something, but jeeze girl get a haircut and some NEW F***ING CLOTHES.

2. Sexy times with Traynor was disappointing. Now, let's be honest: BioWare sex scenes are pretty laughable. And this was no different (she's showering with her bra and panties on). But A) why did she go from "meek, nervous girl" to "get your ass in here shepard?" I was figuring she'd stumble over her words until Shepard finally kissed her or something. Instead she was ready to whore it up and B) why she doesn't even acknowledge this happened? All I get from her is "Commander" like usual.

Also, I feel like a jerk because I did this right after Thane... you know.

There was actually something else I was thinking about while writing this but then I completely forgot when I finished up. God dammit.
