Remember when he had that Avada Kedavra reflected back at him and it took him about 14 years before he managed to get himself a new body? Because that was the plot of half the series, as you'll recall. He can't "die" but like several others in this thing (like Lord Foul) being immortal doesn't mean you can't lose. If you "kill" him, you still win because he's going to be left as a useless disembodied spirit until someone helps him out. Voldemort is not immortal, but it takes either specialized knowledge or a UK-sized destructive attack to polish him off. -- Official Queen ***** of the Universe! |

It's all about the games. If a game is announced for the Vita that I actually want to play, then sure, I'll fork over the money regardless of battery life etc. My PSP's disk slot doesn't stay closed without tape, so I'm sure this will be a step up for me anyway.

Yeah yeah, I know it's about 1/10th of the effort to make FFX in HD than it is to make FFVII look anything but hideous by today's standards...but it's not like they wouldn't profit from the attempt. It is FFVII's "turn" at the beauty parlor.
For my part, FFX is my favorite Final Fantasy game, but I will probably pass on a FFX update unless there is significant new content. I've played it several times already, the graphics have aged well anyway, and I can't think of many things they could change to make it better. Sovereign, by the way. I see no evidence that Luke could replicate the damage, inside and out, that finally did Sovereign in. Killing him just isn't a one man job This. So far as we know, Sovereign doesn't have a small thermal exhaust port leading directly to the reactor system. I don't know of any convincing way for Luke to not get shot by Sovereign, meanwhile killing Saren twice, and then somehow generating the destructive power of a whole star fleet to take Sovereign down.
