I totally understand that, but there's always at least a point of familiarity. Like I look at The Dear Hunter's, and I know I can at least give some of the other recs a listen because I see straight away that it lists Portugal. The Man, meaning it's credible. Takes thirty seconds to listen to a sample of a random artist, you know? I just went three-for-four on new artists that I think I'll like a lot in regards to related to TDH.
At the very least, it's one of the more similar artist maps on the 'net. Far better than like, Last.fm's similar artists, etc. EDIT: Also, haha, that means you just threw out my rec. :] -- Digi How come autobiographies don't end with the person writing a book? |

American-British sitcom, guy with no experience goes from America to head an office in the UK trying to sell energy drinks. Huge liar, makes increasingly poor decisions, as the title implies, and is generally a helpless dude. I'm only two episodes (out of six) in, but I love it.

Don't know where this topic went, but I love diet soda. I'm not fat, and am actually trending near underweight for my height in past months. Diet soda >>> regular soda. Though I avoid aspartine or whatever it is, so I only get certain sodas. Like diet 7up.

I prefer dense because I'm used to that size, but I do feel like non-dense looks cleaner, so I'm sticking with non-dense and I'm assuming I'll get used to it.

Or rather, there is a preview at the moment, it looks nice and clean. Go into Gmail settings, themes, and click either "Preview" or "Preview (Dense)"

So, I talked with the director of search and he gave me all these details ... talked about how our network of 325+ sports blogs is expanding to include a network based on tech and things like that. We did recently hire the editors from Engadget, and he talked about how my position as SEO Manager would not only include the sports side of things, but it would be one team that crossed over into tech and things like that. So it's a huge vertical position with insane room for growth.
Talked about how they wanted to promote from within, and I fit that bill. And there was a huge chemistry there, which is great, because I'd be working directly with him. And we covered a lot of stuff, and talked about my music magazine I used to have and how that helps things as well. Then the awesome news: talked about relocating me to Washington, D.C. with a great enough pay to more than cover the cost of living there and I was soaring. I don't know if I have it yet, but I feel incredibly good about it. Waiting about a week to hear back from him is going to be agony. -- Digi I will not rest until I've found a cure for insomnia. |
