I still think that Groudon/Kyogre has decent potential though. Virtually the only legendary rivalry ingame IIRC, and the only one supplemented not only by a good (but short) anime arc, but also one of the best ingame cutscenes period.

You mean one of the only ingame cutscenes period.

Shouldn't you be nominating rivalries that don't include Link? I don't see how removing Ganondorf is gonna make that much of a difference.

Charizard and Blastoise aren't rivals (being on the covers of the cartridges doesn't count). Zangoose/Seviper and Heatmor/Durant are canonically rivals.

There is no way this would be accepted, but I'm in until Bacon officially forbids it.
Why wouldn't it?

. Fictionalized representations of historical characters (Nobunaga from the Onimusha series) are acceptable

As legal as it gets!

Yeah, just for this rule, I'm gonna do it. Normally I'd consider this a joke, but the rules are different in this contest so this actually counts as a legitimate entry.

I think it's interesting that sometimes the "most obvious" answer was the most picked and sometimes it was the least picked.

Straight to space 150. I wasn't even intending to kill Miss Piggy, but it made it look cooler in the end.

And I had a rocket as backup since before the reinforcements even came, but I was so slow that I couldn't get to space 135 without being knocked back.

I've never heard people call it the best or second-best Pixar movie.

Cars = Super Mario Sunshine

This is an insult.

Ratatouille = Super Mario 64

And this also seems inaccurate, because I thought that Super Mario 64 was popular.

-hotdogturtle--

I think you're just hearing what you want to hear (or rather, what the comments are tricking you into hearing). For me, it sounded like it was actually still saying "nya" or "nyan" like the original video, and I had to strain to hear "lemon lime". Then I went back to the original video and I could hear it saying "lemon" and "lime" there too. My conclusion is that this song is nearly a verbal palindrome, and any sounds that you hear in one direction will also be audible in the opposite direction.

We've already seen that door textures can work in other formats: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/top10/1993.html

A full blown bracket contest with 64 or even 128 door textures would be great. The contest pictures would be able to show off the doors in good style, and it would be a nice break from the character battles (that Link always wins (except when he doesn't)). I wish I'd paid attention to the "GameFAQs Asks" topic so I could have suggested it.

All in favor of this idea, sign here.
