I really like 2 and 13 personally and can see why someone would like them more than V.

The fact that the story involves four crystals does not mean the plot is very similar to FF1 and FF3. That's a terribly stupid generalization. Both 1 and V have plots about a group of chosen heroes maintaining the balance of those four crystals because their stagnation is causing natural disasters. III and V change 1's concept in almost identical ways. They both have the four heroes being chosen by the crystals as their defenders and receiving the power to do so from the crystals themselves. The similarities between their villains are also painfully obvious. -- SuperNiceDog is pretty good. |

Honestly I'm not feeling any lack of story. I like that it's a personal thing rather than a whole army and whatnot. Though I am worried about the whole job system being really complicated. I set Butts to Knight, Reina as White Mage, the old guy as Black Mage, and the pirate as Thief... Just because those seem most appropriate. I don't know what to do beyond that. . The characters are weak and the plot is very similar to FF1 and FF3. It's boring to watch the cutscenes as a result. Don't worry about the job system. It's simple and there are some options that simplify things if you have trouble. -- SuperNiceDog is pretty good. |
