From what I can imagine, he thinks i'm somewhere OUTSIDE the apartment, watching from a distence, and then going inside and fooling with things when I see him leave. So, it looks like he just went outside the apartment, and is hiding somewhere, to try to catch me going back inside the apartment to pull something. Nice try, but i'm already IN the apartment...
