All the trolling moderation category states on attempting a report is "Deliberately provoking users to react negatively."

So really anything you say to someone that you have at least some knowledge might set them off falls under that, even if it's true. If you expect they're going to blow up about it then you trolled them.

How is telling someone "you have a pattern of behavior and it sucks" trolling?

Because sometimes people don't want to hear the truth and will have a melty anyway and anything that causes a melty is technically trolling.

...are you supposed to be the quoted text?

Because holy shit, you don't want to be.

It's the hypothetical topic that I was going to make about what I imagine my reaction would be to the response I assume I would have gotten to a hypothetical YouTube comment I made on a music video of a singer that I assume I would have disliked upon listening to their music.

But then I realized it probably wouldn't have been very mentally stable.
If I'm having a bad day I will do what's necessary to see to it that you will be too.
I really want to make this topic.

"No one asked for your take."
You're right, no one asked for my opinion that she has a terrible singing voice and her lyrics are cringeworthy to listen to. Why can't I voice that? Why must I be "invited" to offer a critical evaluation? Why is the only acceptable response gushing praise and supportiveness and if you have something that isn't positive you can "keep it to yourself"?

Also they have a weight problem and their fashion sense is in dire need of reeducation.

But I figure by doing so I'd demonstrate some serious issues by showing I that I make up YouTube comments in my mind then complain about when I didn't like the theoretical response I got to them.

Maybe. But that also has the drawback of discouraging potential customers from supporting the business altogether.

At least in my case that place will always have my business as they serve something no one else locally does.

However that platform probably cost itself a slice of the pie by pushing me towards Grubhub. Business still gets my dollar but I don't feel like I'm having my arm twisted either.

Restaurateurs who cannot compete with franchised restaurants, I suppose.

I'm not sure it's the store charging me, though. It seems like it was the platform itself.

They're trying to offload what they wouldn't charge the business to the customer because "we're trying to cut small businesses a break," maybe? Seems counter-productive to me.

my local sushi restaurant uses a cheap janky website that gives me a 10% off just for using it over ubereats.

We have a place that serves "Asian street food" locally that gives you a little card telling you how to order if you don't want to use Doordash when you do. I'm not sure how advantageous it is, though.

I was trying to order pickup at a restaurant and I used Google Maps to set up the order but the "ActiveMenus" platform that I was placing the order on tacked on a "support local" fee of $1.50.

What the heck does that go towards? I'm paying a fee to pick up food because the restaurant is a local outfit?!

I ended up backing out and just placing the order via GrubHub instead, which not only didn't charge such nonsense (at least overtly) but one of the items was slightly cheaper as well.

A hobby is a community. Welcome them in. Teach them. Answer their questions.

Why are you making them endure the same hardship you did when you have the opportunity to be an ambassador for the hobby and lower the barrier of entry for someone who wants to participate and share your passion?

Because sometimes it results in complaining about how things are. I didn't explain it to you so you could then tell me what a load of shit it was.

They ruin it by changing the culture and telling me the values I hold about the hobby are antiquated and boring.

For instance modern pro wrestling kiddies think thigh slapping superkicks and no-selling is amazing. Meanwhile I just want to see a quality body slam.

Did Angel Hernandez ever apologize for his behavior? I don't follow baseball, but I'm kinda curious about whether he owned up to the bullshit he's known for.

Pfft, he got mad that he couldn't ump a World Series game so he sued for discrimination, which led MLB to call him a crap ump on the official record.

I didn't haggle on the price for my current car because I knew the BB value walking in the door. I knew the posted price was just right for what the car I was interested in was. Rather what I did was make sure they covered certain things pro bono and gave me the best possible warranty at a steep discount.

It was actually a pretty good deal, the warranty has come through for me on several occasions (much to my surprise, honestly).
