I've had similar thoughts about an Office Max or Office Depot or whatever its called thats near my house. I rarely go there, but each time its like a ghost town. Maybe 1 or 2 other customers.

I like that the Packers got a solid lineman, though the brief mention of prior injury concerns was alarming. Hopefully he only replicates Bakhtiari in playing ability and not in injury frequency.

you got me. However, I ask the same question now that I asked in your last topic about this. Why do you not try to do this at other fairs? It seems like you just try for that same fair every year and thats it. There's likely hundreds of fairs of various sizes that go on near you during fair season if you live a stones throw away from any major metro area.

I'm confused, did they eliminate the position because they found out that while you were on vacation, the duties of your position weren't actually necessary or could be done by others?

  1. When You Wish Upon A Star: Nothing more needs to be said that others here already haven't. Disney anthem. A true classic.
  2. Let it Go: This is still "the song" of modern Disney animated movies and belongs up here, even if not my personal favorite.
  3. Circle of Life: If one were forced to pick an anthem for the Renaissance Period...I think this would have to be it, right? It's a loaded period of Disney's best music. But this one has got to be the most iconic from that period, even if not the best.
  4. A Whole New World: I am picking this as my last selection because this song was the winner of the last two Disney music tournaments hosted on this board. So that's got to count for something.

I think Josh Allen has fooled people into thinking accuracy is an easily fixable problem.

I dont know, Jordan Love went from having Tim Tebow-level accuracy early on in the season to improving his accuracy to near elite levels by the end of year. I'm still not sure how that happened or which version of Love the Packers will get the next season, but it was quite the accelerated in-season growth.

As for the Fields trade. Oh boy. Justin truthers must be in shambles after this one. Since early reports indicate he will be sitting behind Wilson, this looks like a 6th rounder next year, which is basically nothing for a guy drafted, what, 11th overall in 2021.

Fields just wasn't the guy. What confused me about him is that Bears fans are usually never shy of criticizing their players, especially their QBs, but for some reason Fields was just treated differently. A lot of the fanbase seemed to just be looking through rose-colored glasses when viewing the guy, blaming everyone but him for his shortcomings. There was recently even some chatter from some fans thinking they'd get a 1st rounder for the guy. That was never gonna happen.

And who knows, maybe it's true that he was another promising star that the Bears fucked up, but that's not any different from the long line of QBs before him.

Also, and this is a bit random, but this game features maybe the most foul mouthed kid in all of video games, who in the end became one of my favorite characters.

Enjoy the game. It's full of a lot of lore. You don't need to dig into all of it. Some of it may go over your head a bit. But it's very fascinating and thought provoking stuff. Lots of levity breaks in there too. Just absurd and funny stuff.

If you want, you can save before certain big conversations so that if you don't get a good dice roll, you can reload the save and re-roll.

I should also note, there are some really cool and long sidequests that are sometimes very difficult to unlock.

To be fair, the original cartoon was also guilty of travel continuity errors like that. Taking weeks/months to travel to some spots, then later on traveling the same distance and back in one night.

Ok, so I just binged the whole series in one day...which, I know, isn't always advisable and can sometimes cloud the perception of the series, but I did it nonetheless.

My vague, unspoilery thoughts: It didn't meet my expectations going into it. I was hoping more for a show that loosely followed the cartoon's plot but was in large part its own story. I wanted that simply because I didn't want just a live action rehashing of the story. Sadly, this turned out to be more or less a retelling of the cartoon, with some minor creative differences here and there. Like I said in an earlier post, it reminded me a lot of The Last of Us live action show in its relation to its source material.

Like The Last of Us, the 8 episode limitation led to some tight packing of content in certain episodes, and episodes 2-4 of the series are certainly tightly packed with various storylines coming together in single episodes. Oddly enough though, looking back, I find those episodes the most enjoyable of the series. They crammed a lot of content in those episodes, but I felt they did it well. The slower paced episodes 5 and 6 were fine, I suppose, but they didn't carry my attention as much. I wasn't a huge fan of episodes 7 and 8, though that may have been Avatar fatigue kicking in.

Overall though, I think they did a good job with the reenactment of the series. I like the additional exposition with Zuko and Iroh and their families. I thought Aang and Katara and Sakka got better as the show progressed, though there was some regression in the final episodes. I was disappointed at how minimal Appa and Momo were, but I suppose it was expensive to CGI them.

I would say I'm cautiously optimistic for season 2, but who knows when or if that comes out.

Just my opinion halway through, but I don't see this as a complete flop. Cartoon loyalists were never going to be happy with this live action rendition, so I'm not sure what the point is of holding it up to those impossible standards. While I admit the script is a bit lacking at times, the acting has been a pleasant surprise and the effects have been great.

Boy, I heard in many places how Tales of Arise has a slow start, but it still took me by surprise that I fell asleep while playing this game last night. What a boring start in my opinion. I will try to trudge through a little longer, but I may just pass on this one if it doesn't get better soon.

About halfway through. My advice is to give it more than one episode, because it does get better in episodes 2-4.

The show is a homage to the cartoon, but they do add some of their own scenes, especially in relation to fire lord family backstory, which was also lacking a bit in the cartoon series. We get to see a lot of the prominent characters from season 1, and even though it's packed in tightly, I didn't feel like it was rushed.

I am so far satisfied with this live action rendition. It reminds me a little of The Last of Us tv show as far as its closeness to the cartoon, while making some subtle changes.

I found it funny how at the start of the game Romo kept on talking about the butterflies and other stresses these players are going through playing in a super bowl. Dude talked as if he was speaking from experience, when in reality he never even made it to the NFC championship game.

Also, cameos galore in these commercials. It's the laziest way to make a super bowl. Just hire a popular celebrity to say some crap. Although I suppose it's better than AI generated feet pics.
