Same.
I like the Remedy brand best because it can be kept at room temperature.

Also, appreciate that it has zero sugar.
Started drinking it again. Refreshing as hell.

The cost and risk has inflated far faster then the benifits and we do jack shit to actually prepare kids for navigating it.

Instead of bashing kids for not going to college we should question why the appeal has dropped. Its systemic failures(not just in colleges themselves but everywhere. Housing, policing, Transporation options/costs, wages, workers rights, healthcare, educstion laws etc.) and exploitation diminishing the risk/reward outlook along with a helping hand from bigotry and Anti Intellctualism from right wingers driving some away. Attacking DEI, LGBTQ+, Libraries, women's rights, science and student aid is obviously not gonna help.
So true.

I can see why Gen Z would be steering away from college. They look at those before them and think whats the point.

Just keeps getting more and more expensive. And with little to show for all that schooling.

Why are people acting like lettuce wraps are some ungodly abomination? Pretty standard healthy option...
Right?

Sometimes you crave a burger but don't want the heavy feeling. You get the juiciness and the richness from the patty, the melt from the cheese, refreshing onion, and crisp lettuce. Hardly disgusting.

Can be a bit messy, yeah, but that can be rectified by eating slower and using napkins.

For me it was:
* Has a cute face
* Is at least a little nerdy (my gf is a mega nerd and I love her)
* Has a good sense of humor
* Not too skinny (I like women with some meat on their bones)
* Not high maintenance

That was mainly what I checked for before trying to set up a first date. I have a kid myself, so I didn't care if they had kids. Hell, at first I assumed that most of my matches would be women with kids, since I already had one of my own. But almost all of my matches were women without kids. I'm glad it's not as much of a hangup for women as it is for guys lol.
Not high maintenance is very important.

So much less stress.

McDonalds nuggets are so tasty, I wont lie.

Had them a couple months ago and they were so good. The breading is amazing.

20 minutes a day is all it takes, and you can do it from your bedroom. Literally just do some push-ups, sit ups, and even some jumping Jack's. Get that blood pumping.
I love this mindset so much.

I just made a quick Japanese curry (used the kind from the box, but only used half of it). This brand:

The protein I chose was tofu. The vegetables I chose were onions, baby carrots, and russet potatoes.

Served it with steamed long grain rice and some steamed broccoli.

i don't need to be cool though. i just need to stay alive (which my brain makes difficult at times) and do the things that make me happy. dating doesn't happen to be on that list, which means i would probably be a terrible partner
Fair enough.

My standards:

1) The guy should at least have some kind of job or be able to pull his weight financially (be able to say at least chip in for groceries and/or be able to assist with bills)

2) Not conservative. (In fact does not share bigoted views or opinions. Is open minded and supportive of those less fortunate than himself. Any sign of racism or sexism is out.)

3) Have emotional depth (be able to be there when I get emotional and also not afraid to express his emotions)

4) Comfortable with the idea that I have a social life i.e. my own friends and secure with the fact that I may make more than him.

5) Willing to split chores/tasks. Relationship to me is a partnership. Whoever works longer should handle the majority of the chores (out of fairness.)

6) Has enough in common that we can sit and talk and/or enjoy things together. Likes to make some time for us.

7) Is not pushy for sex. Understands no means no.

8) Is emotionally independent (as in not clingy. Guys without friends makes me wary.)

9) Is faithful and doesn't cheat

10) Isn't verbally, physically, or mentally abusive.

My top 10.

Oh and not in my top 10 but still very important.. doesn't smoke.
Really great list.

Emotional depth is especially so important.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't really have a list of requirements, though I don't think I could ever date, say, a racist.

Obviously I have preferences, but if I really liked someone, I think I would tolerate most things.
Likewise.

Oh dear. I feel attacked by your first sentence lmao. Imma just be quiet.
What?
For me, I dont give a damn about height (my bf is only 56), penis size, or how much money a guy makes.

Things I look for in no particular order:

  1. Genuine kindness. I would never date a rude guy.
  2. Attractive face.
  3. Lives a healthy lifestyle (not saying he has to be physically fit btw).
  4. Not afraid to show feelings
  5. Have ambition

Thats kind of it for me. What about you guys?

Lettuce wraps are totally fine with me, but the downside is they do often require a fork and knife or a lot of napkins
Definitely the downside.

It can be messy, hence so many places that serve lettuce hamburgers on a carton as opposed to just paper like a traditional hamburger.
TendoDRM posted...
Yes it was, admit it.
I promise, it wasnt!

Lets be real: most people are going to order french fries to accompany a burger. Potatoes provide plenty of the starchy goodness. The bun is kind of overkill.

And even in the case of no fries and just a burger, the beef (or vegan meat) and the cheese are so rich. The lettuce wrap compliments it with the refreshing crispness.

Buns of course still have their place, but again, sometimes one just feels like enjoying a lighter burger.

Not that I am anti-carb or anything, but sometimes you just dont want the extra calories, sodium, and fat that comes with a traditional bun.

Sadly while exercise helps, it doesn't erase problem that people may have.

It doesn't erase whatever past a person has.

Memories can be a blessing and a curse.
CBT, my friend.

I think most people have things in their past that haunt them. Some have have it harder than others.

But you can challenge those thoughts. Definitely look into cognitive behavior therapy when you get the chance.

I find it too hard to believe that it will actually make me feel any better even though I know it does for most people.
Sometimes its the smallest changes that come together and have the biggest impact.

For example, I used to be one of those types who would be on my phone checking social media, email, and more before bed

Had HORRIBLE sleep because of that. Now I unwind like and hour before bed without phone, laptop, or anything else thats crazy stimulating. I sleep so much better now, which affects every single aspect of my life.

I'm just mopey and sad that I couldn't exercise my problems away. I mean, I never really believed you could, but there's a lot of advice out there that comes pretty close to acting like you can. It definitely is a good place to start and a vital part to any eventual healthy routine.
100%.

Also, reminder that exercise doesnt have to mean hours every single day. You can do 1 hour of strength training 3 times a week, maybe throw in some cardio here and there, and be perfectly healthy.

I do Back on Monday, Legs on Wednesday, and Chest on Friday. Sometimes I include cardio on the weekends.

The idea that you need to spend hours in the gym everyday needs to go away. Not saying that youre saying that, but a lot of people still push that myth.

I've been exercising daily since Jan 1st 2019. I do 10-15 min every day. I walk/jog on a treadmill and do pushups and crunches. I used to have 0 stamina before but now I am a lot stronger with lots of stamina now. I'm the only person I know that can do north of 100 pushups in a single set.

But I am still a total loser in every other aspect.

Yes!

Manga, as for not liking to exercise, I feel you. Sometimes I wake up and think to myself that I shouldnt exercise. But then I think of how I will feel (and yes, look) and suddenly exercise doesnt seem so bad.

Exercise is basically self-love. Youre giving something to yourself that is so needed.

Can vouch that I feel better after some exercise.
And the best part: its free.

Even doing something like going outside and walking for 15-30 minutes a day can do wonders for both physical and mental health.

Or even walking indoors can be great if weather outside is not great.
BoomerKuwanger posted...
I've been exercising regularly for years and while I wouldn't suggest not doing that, it isn't really the silver bullet for depression that people make it out to be.
It can help a lot for sure.

Def not a replacement for meds, though.

I'm not trying to belittle, but a lot of you are chronically online, sitting, destroying your posture, and feeling moody and awful.

Exercise doesn't have to be crazy, complicated, and involve a gym.

We live in a time where exercise has been democratized. You don't even need to leave your house. You can easily use Youtube to find great cardio exercises, body weight exercises, and more.

You'll feel energized, accomplished, and feel better. Probably will sleep better too.

I say this after feeling like complete shit for the past couple days (relationship stuff, career change, etc.). I neglected exercise those past couple days and felt horrible.

Worked out earlier today and feel clear-headed now.
I think we can all agree that some posters on CE love to infantilize teenage girls.

Apparently they are too innocent, naive, and more to know whats right and whats wrong.
