I always thought the original series was mostly fine with some good parts. I never got the love and the several sequels it got. It could get kind of obnoxious at times. That animation is horrible, but the original wasn't great either though it worked better in 2D.

I don't think most of it holds up very well. Channel Chasers is good though.

it looks like Butch is coming back for this one, but he was also responsible for the last few seasons of the original series so who knows.

This is a pretty decent batch. Sparrow and Fearow are early birds that actually pack a punch, unlike the Pidgey lines. Pikachu and Raichu are classics. Sandslash is one of those mons that deserved a third evolution years ago but it never happened. Arbok has a great design, but unfortunately its stats, typing, and movepool are a huge letdown. Nidoran F and Nidoran aren't great on their own, but Nidoqueen is top tier so they get higher remarks than they would've on their own

I really think underneath all those technical issues it's a damn fine game

I think a remaster in ten years on better hardware would be really good

If you think this web sight is dated now you should've seen it in 2007 when Ceej was still here. No private messages, no embedded images, no block list years after other forums already had all those features. Allen brought it into the 21st century.

Only certain trainers are actually available to rebattle. This is easily forgotten, since there are so few towns/trainers to begin with, granted. You're basically stuck grinding against that "We're the Five X trainers!" circle in that one town over and over again. And they never change their party.

Granted, I'm speaking about Colosseum, specifically. Maybe XD fixed this problem.
