I'd like it more if there was a toggle, even more so if they let you choose who it'd apply to and who it wouldn't. As it is I dislike it, especially since you get exp from catching mons so its a pain trying to keep your favorites from getting overleveled unintentionally.
The fact that it being forced also means you get a mishmash of evs makes it even more annoying.

Hell, with the exp candies and "let's go" mechanic speeding up grinding, the flaws stood out even more imo.

I'd be really happy I was wrong and this was the start of them truly turning on each other, but hasn't this type of stuff happened a bunch? One of them would break script, people would think "omg have they finally got common sense/human decency?" and it turns out they were just mad at each other and wanted to rock the boat a little without anything actually big coming from it

At first, it wasn't. Then people starting coming up with other "robot slurs" based off of irl slurs, and it was obvious that it was becoming a method for people to be racist without directly saying them in a way they could pretend they weren't being, you know, racist.

Probably the same way the Childfree subreddit became the way it is, with people who just dislike them sharing stories/their feelings without immediate backlash and then the more vocal nutjobs say insane shit causing normal people to write them all off of as crazy.

I read through some of the posts and it ranges from "my aunt adopted a dog she isn't training" "I asked someone to get their dog away from me and she treated me like a weirdo" to "I'm calling HOA/Animal Control because my neighbors dog won't stop barking" to probably worse.

It's not as simple as a yes or no
Yes, the government should prevent the spread of false information, hateful ideologies, and other damaging things
However because the government and people as a whole have been proven not to be completely objective, there would be way too many cases where the lines are blurry (or worse, intentionally blurred) that would allow government overreach and silencing of voices that they consider "wrongthink"

Controlling companions literally lets you play the other classes without being forced to restart from scratch

After I saw the casting I had 0 hope.
With how much they love casting them in the same movie I was genuinely surprised they didn't try the the Rock and Kevin Hart one of the times it could have really worked. (As Roland and Claptrap respectively)

I went there the other week with my partner and had a great time (I'm black and they're white)

Though we went to a CVS not too long after and the cashier there greeted them with a smile but sorta sneered at me so I guess the universe had to balance it out.

I interpreted it as a "this is proof that not everyone playing games is a white dude" because there are a very vocal group that see protagonists that are women or minorities (usually black) and feel they are being "replaced" when in truth they aren't the only ones playing them
