I think most people are aware that it's a problem that there's a subset of men who are dangerous. The real discussion should be about what do we do about it instead of just restating the initial problem in ways that are somewhat sexist.
Like it wouldn't be ethical, but would it at least help if we were to just force all men to take HRT (testosterone blockers and estrogen)? To know that, we'd have to do more research on what exactly makes men violent in the first place. Is it because of testosterone? Is it because of the way boys are typically raised? Is it that women are equally violent and men just have more ability to more directly display their violence? If we knew the answers to those questions, we may be able to figure out a less invasive solution. But we're eternally stuck on step 1 of this problem and that's just frustrating for everyone.
