Which bits are you thinking of? The only one that occurs to me is the Squawks section of Animal Antics (with the wind and the brambles), and even that just takes practice (a lot of practice). Other levels like Toxic Tower are tough but I wouldn't call them unfair.
He might be thinking of the Lost World, but I remember the Lost World in 3 being harder than 2.

I think Diddy Kong Racing 2 would have generated so much hype as the premiere Switch 2 racing game.
