And then there was Anomalies Unlimited, which was about weird paranormal shit and also randomness, like the site owner dedicating a page to her hate-boner for (a then still very young and popular) Britney Spears.

There was an old video game cheat website that used the Hercules legendary journey theme that I used to print out cheats for the genesis. I believe it was something like cheat-haven.co.uk or something. My mother instead decided to type a .com I steal of the .co.uk and instead found a porn site. That was an uncomfortable misunderstanding for me

GameFAQs was the first site I visited all the time. Years before I made my account even. Back when I thought beating a game was a BIG deal and here we had people that volunteered to make full damn walkthroughs for all of them for free. And all the cheats that Tips N' Tricks magazine had and then some. And people talking about every game under the sun. I thought I found goddamn paradise.

Besides gamefaqs... Pretty much the first and last social networking site I ever used was an old site called bolt.com. It had things like public profiles where you could list all your hobbies and favorites and post updates about yourself, friends list, private messaging, and even a built in IRC chat.

Gamesages.

Remember visiting it back in elementary in '98 or '99. Mostly used the cheat section, though I probably jumped more to the FAQ section in '01 when we got a Playstation. The FAQs were links to this site.

Wow, OCRemix was only 8 years old when they earned the prestige of doing tracks for a Street Fighter title. I love their HDR tracks, especially for Cammy, Guile, and Zangief.
