I feel like this rule is barely going to be enforced outside of the initial Politics topic purge. Like have any of us gotten modded since this went into effect? How does an understaffed mod team even begin to address this when it's so broad it actually INCREASED the scope of their work? Although posts might randomly still get deleted.
I mean that should be a no-brainerYes we're talking about Fandom's decisions but what's going to happen to LUE?
Yes we're talking about Fandom's decisions but what's going to happen to LUE?When they shut down the message boards, I doubt they'll make a special exception to leave LUE running just because it's historical
Damn rip to the Board 8 Babe Brawl. I'm sure that's considered hornyposting lmaoNo, there is no sexual enjoyment in it. It's purely about enforcing western standards of female beauty in order to fight against globalization by non-white cultural marxists.
Is this policy left to the users to enforce by marking, or is this something mods are asked to tackle on their own?The way our moderation system has always worked it's basically always enforced by users marking stuff. (Which is why this policy change doesn't really make sense - if the issue is that things have gotten super toxic... well, that was already probably against the rules. The problem then was that no one was marking it or that the mods weren't modding it. This doesn't really fundamentally change any of that. It's just stating those posts are now breaking n+1 rules... but if no one is marking them then it's not going to change much. Mods don't really roam topics looking to action things, the site is just too big for that to be feasible.)
Can our local mods N/A the lgbtq discussions, but take down the MAGA/Biden stuff?

So it's considered politics.
Every single real Bulgarian person I've met makes it clear why Vlado is forced to spend most of his time hanging out online with nerds halfway around the globe
Damn rip to the Board 8 Babe Brawl. I'm sure that's considered hornyposting lmaolooks like we'll just have to bring back Babar Brawl instead
How many real Bulgarian people have you met?2 afaik
am I the only one that likes this? I came to this place to talk about games, not politics.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/6/6a8fcadb.jpg
Yes I had the politics tag blocked, but not every topic that was polticial had the tag.
am I the only one that likes this? I came to this place to talk about games, not politics. With who though? You need people to talk to, and people talk about all kinds of things.
Yes you are.
Actually Ulti probably does too, since so many people in the Politics topic blocked him.
Wow I just caught up on all this and this is like one of the only places I still come Ive been here since I was a teen. This is ridiculous and infuriating.Things have only gotten worse ever since Fandom took over.
As an example, I literally could not care less about the Contests, and I managed to become a regular on B8 because I just went to the other topics.
Every time someone says "I don't like to talk about politics" I sigh wistfully and I think, wow, that must be very nice
I mean to be fair I don't LIKE toI know, neither do I

If you don't come here to talk about contests, we should ban you, not contest discussionHonestly a decent rule would be, you can only come to this board if you plan on creating a bracket for the theoretical next contest
Let's discuss 20 year old contests 24/7
I currently have Contest Discussion, Forum Games, and Mafia blocked. It's easy as pie.
Of course those don't always get tagged properly, but whatever.
Honestly a decent rule would be, you can only come to this board if you plan on creating a bracket for the theoretical next contestcan i at least guarantee honorary citizenship for as long as i keep my guru sig from eleven years ago
making the tag auto-blocked by default so you have to opt into that tag, also easy. if you want to limit political talk on a subject, you can also just make the rule of political talk should have the tag, otherwise moderate it. essentially the same rule as this only instead of "ban outright" it's "in a topic with the tag." more complicated and annoying sure but far less egregious than an outright ban.
