I know it's beating a dead horse but I think it's insane to ban the subject and not the users. Get more moderators I'd that's the issue. If I'm gathering a large group to leave unmarked spoilers everywhere will you ban us, the subject or the board we did it on? There should be a clear and obvious answer.
