Also literally everyones' lives have been significantly impacted by covid whether or not they or someone they knew got it
Congrats to azuarc , GotD2 Guru champ!
Yeah but most people have been affected by the people saying we should close everything down than the virus itself. Trump was against closing things down, covid is probably a bigger boon for him than anything else.

Its state by state. Some he did, some he didnt

He was on the California ballot as a vice presidential pick, for someone else I've never heard of before.
Change is weird.

but a substantial percentage of people affected by closing things down still think closing things down was the right thing to do. Thats not actually a boon for trump.

Way less confident in Biden than I was in Clinton. I think it basically comes down to PA and AZ and Im not fully confident in either of those states.

That was for the American Independent Party, a far right party whose first nominee was literally George Wallace in 1968.

I'm less confident, because this is fairly unprecedented. The last time was just that the less likely outcome happened, but this time even the way people are voting is changing.
Revenge voters will cause Biden to beat Trump this time.
I think Trump had such a bad term, that it killed his chances. So I think Trump 2020 is far weaker than Trump 2016

Not only has he lost a lot of his casual supporters, but most people who didn't vote are riled up enough to vote for Biden. Biden should take this pretty easily

Only Trump's base think him being against closing things down was a good idea . Anyone else thought it was dumb, and think this virus should be over by now. And if it had been, that would have been a boon for him. But he bungled the virus response very badly.
Much more confident in Biden but I had Trump vs Clinton as a toss up
No problem!
This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
i had been trawling dark corners of the internet in 2016, so i wasn't exceptionally surprised by the result. rather, just darkly disappointed.

i'm more confident in a biden victory in 2020 because the state-by-state polling actually adds up. in 2016 everybody just kept blabbing about the popular vote polls. i kept looking at state polls going 'how do people get a clinton victory from this ?'

Tomorrow, biden has to lose every single coin flip state, plus one state that he's currently up by 5 percentage points or more, in order to lose the election. I'm not confident, but the current estimates of 75% sound very fair
You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
Id be even more confident if I didnt think 2016 proved we were a nation of fucking imbeciles, to be honest I have so little confidence in us to not gleefully scree ourselves over even though hes proven to be worse than imagined. Yay, Im not convinced we wont punch ourselves on purpose. Someone could be like stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself and they wouldnt even have to grab our arm and make us do it, we would just do it.

I thought there was no way Trump would win in 2016, so I guess I'm more confident that he'll win this time cause I've seen it.i think Biden wins though

I think Trump is less likely to win this election than 2016 and until these past few days I've generally been less worried about another Trump term than I was four years ago. I think I'm just generally anxious.

I still have faith in Americans and choose to just believe people who hated both candidates in 2016 panicked and decided to take a chance on Trump. The idea is that he completely lucked out in 2016 going up against an opponent much of the country was sick and tired of.

I assume 100% of the people who voted Clinton will be voting Biden, but there are probably some 2016 Trump voters that regret their choice. Not sure it's enough to swing things, especially with the mail-in ballot stuff and the possibility for Republicans to just throw out thousands of votes

That's definitely not the case. There are plenty of things Biden has "given in to" like BLM which turns off some Democrats. It's probably a minor effect though.
