every time this topic comes up I say basically the same thing. I don't even like wearing clothes with designs, logos, or text on them. the idea of having a design, logo, or text permanently stuck on my body just seems really unappealing.

I appreciate the complex designs and quality of the art with some tattoos, but I find the whole concept unappealing and silly. I don't really judge people who have them, though.

90% of tattoos are a detriment to the person's looks and at least half of those are poor enough that you couldn't convince me it's worth their "individualism" or whatever.
On the rare case that one solidly looks impressive and doesn't make me go "man, they'd look so much better without that," I can appreciate them for what they are. But they have to be done well, they have to be well-chosen, and they have to be on the right person.

I have four, and wish I had a lot more. I'm also more attracted to girls with tattoos.
I prefer uniqueness, and tattoos are a good way of distinguishing someone from everyone else.
Granted, the tattoos themselves have to be original. I'll admit I have a band logo on my leg, but otherwise my tattoos are designed by my artist so that they wouldn't be seen anywhere else but on my skin.

I doubt I'll ever get them, but for the most part I don't mind them on other people. I just really don't like brightly colored tattoos, and tattoos of people's faces 99.999% of the time look horrible.
