Jfc how are they still against Hemp. If Hemp is so useful why cant these rich assholes just pivot to the crop. Theyve been fighting it for over 100 yearsgood number of these fuckers still think reefer madness is a credible documentary.
So not only did the Dems concede on everything, they even tossed in an extra goddamn concession to the GOP.
Fuck, someone please explain to me why electing these fuckers is doing anything good?
the rope makers win again!Theres some saying about capitalists and rope. I forget what it was though.

The loophole hasn't been handled well by many states.Innovation as in they are now able to extract and isolate those naturally occuring cannabinoids from hemp, Yes
You have gas station weed everywhere and Florida has openly looked the other way on Delta 8 and other recent cannabinoid innovations like Delta 10 or the extremely potent THCP.
Minnesota, on the other hand, has a thoroughly regulated hemp market. They get punished.
And the moral crusade continues. NOOOOOOOO you're not allowed to enjoy a mostly harmless substance that's provably less harmful than alcohol or cigarettes STOP IT you're decaying muh heckin' GOOD CHRISTIAN VALUES because I get uncomfortable whenever I smell it in public NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMakes you wonder what Joe Rogan thinks about this. After all he has a part to play in Trump's second victory.
This country is a joke.
One of the few things I give Trump credit for is legalizing industrial hemp. Seems he wants to undo that
The loophole hasn't been handled well by many states. Our AG Ellison pushed for it for some reason

If enacted and signed into law, the hemp provision would mean hundreds of now-legal THC products most commonly sold as Delta-8 or Delta-9 would no longer be legal to sell. It is currently federally legal to sell hemp-derived THC products as long as they contain no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight. The language in the new legislation imposes a total THC limit of 0.4 milligrams and would effectively ban those products for personal or household use.
So what did Democrats actually get out of this?
So what did Democrats actually get out of this?
I read Rand Paul is currently objecting to it, not sure how that works thoughHe is introducing an amendment that will keep the status quo on this issue. Just a few months ago the Texas government introduced a ban on hemp that was ultimately vetoed by the governor. The alcohol lobbyists pushed HARD to get it banned, so it was ultimately the alcohol industry vs the will of the people (and the hemp industry). Surprisingly, Abbott ultimately sided against the alcohol lobby.
Bottom line is we are likely screwed. Rand Paul's amendment would likely need 60 votes if he can even get it to come to a vote. He ain't getting 60 votes on this lol. There will be plenty of no votes from both sides of the aisle.
One of the few times we see bipartisanship in action: when it comes to screwing over the public at the behest of powerful lobbies.
Because every Democrat that gets elected is one fewer Republican in officeTrue, at least we have the Democrats to defend health insurance and cannabis access!
So what did Democrats actually get out of this?Nothing
And they struck down Paul's amendment, 78-22
bipartisanship, baby!

Between this and the way they've treated Zohran Mamdani, they're a controlled opposition party at this point.
Makes you wonder what Joe Rogan thinks about this. After all he has a part to play in Trump's second victory.
Oh wait he's rich he will find weed no matter what

Even as someone staunchly against the use of mind altering substance on a personal level, I can absolutely see how useful the stuff is to many people.
