There are a few safe spots when it does that move. It's not actually the whole screen, it's a very large Z shape, and you can dodge it in the open corners of the Z.

You can tank one hit of the core enforcer move if you have Canari plushies maxed out. If youre even a little bit below full health though itll probably take you out. That fight took me like 5 tries because of that lol

I think you can dodge it by rolling at the right time.
I want a pet Lavos Spawn.

Not sure if you still need advice, but I just did this fight and found this worked for me. For Core Enforcer, wait to see where it goes and then run to the sides of the arena (perpendicular to where Perfect Zygarde is floating on the outside). After the initial Z shape is made, look for the gap nearby in the energy on the ground and stand in it.

As for the second attack, with the exploding waves, just start closer to where it hovers at the center of the arena and wait for the waves to approach, then roll away from it to avoid them. And then do it again for the second wave.

Blegh, it turns out you can't change time to night during the first three side missions from Emma.

And apparently guaranteed Alphas don't spawn until you got all species in the wild zone the Alpha is in. Which means I can't hunt for the Shiny Alpha I want since I need night time to complete the zone's list of Pokemon.



EDIT : scratch that, it seems guaranteed Alphas don't spawn period during the side mission "tutorial". For whatever reason.

I assume it's for narrative purposes, since one of the side missions during that tutorial phase introduces the concept of Alphas to the player.

Yeah, I guess that's the reason. I wanted to get a Shiny Alpha Pikachu to give to the NPC for one of the three side missions, but it's impossible to hunt one during this tutorial, so I grabbed one from a discord trade bot instead

Dunno why I didn't think of just doing that since the start, it's for an NPC anyway.
