Looking at the post season stats, the only major category the Dodgers lead the Jays is in ERA.

If the Jays can continue to hit for contact and get on base, work the count... they can totally do this. They really can.

On the Padres front, I'm not sure inexperienced manager Pujols is what will get them over the top but the veteran manager Schildt didn't either, so I guess "why not?" When was the last that time a major superstar served as manager? Frank Robinson, maybe?

Depends on where you draw the line. Would Paul Molitor (managed the Twins in 2018) and/or Mattingly (Marlins in 2022) count? Neither were at the level of Robinson (last managed in 2006) or Pujols, but Molitor's a HOFer and people still make an argument for Mattingly.

The LCS switched from a 5 game to a 7 game series in 1985. Since that change, this is the 5th time that one LCS was a sweep while the other went the full 7 games. The previous 4 times it happened (1988, 2006, 2007 and 2012), the winner of the 7 game LCS won the World Series.

I gotta remember to watch that "Who Killed the Montreal Expos?" documentary sometime. I think that's the one where David Samson was giving hours of commentary without realizing he was being portrayed (perhaps rightly so) as the bad guy, lmao. Definitely saw an article somewhere about it.
