They kept the surprises and twists going right until the end. Glad that Aloy knows not to trust anyone outside of her circle of friends. Tilda was of course very self serving; spies have to be. Kind of surprised that Sylens opted to vie for hope instead of self-preservation. Guess he decided to throw his lot in with the person that managed to do what he wanted to do, but without the needless sacrifices. Cutting down Erik was very satisfying. Fuck you, you prick. That was for Varl.

Of course a bunch of megalomaniacs would create a digital sentience that spelled their doom. Nemesis reminds me of the Reapers in Mass Effect. Hope Guerilla can stick the landing where Bioware couldn't.

I'm going to take a break from the game and play through the DLC at a later date. I want to play something else now.

BUMP

I know there are people here who like this game. Quit ignoring me.

The apocalypse of that world was very compelling. I feel the writers did a great job of explaining how it got to that point.

The DLC is great. I loved the game, and can't wait for the next one.

Sadly, RIP Lance Reddick. Gonna be hard for anyone else to pick up the character of Sylens. Wonder how they'll handle it.

I just finished Cyberpunk again so I'm headed back to it again probably this weekend.

How did you feel about the Ted Faro now? Lol

I think they got Keith David. Or at least he came out and said he'd like to do it.

I find the part grinding on that game to be obscene on any good difficulty.

Somehow even more pathetic than before. Truly is incredible just how many billionaires and CEOs of companies are sociopaths. Man, I'm glad the Ceo didn't survive Thebes. Ted Faro is pathetic.

Gaia has all of her disparate parts again, with the exception of Hephaestus and Hades, huh? Apollo even made it back. Beta will make it work somehow, now that she has unfettered access to it. Tilda was somehow even more gross than expected. She felt compassion for Beta, but only because she was Lisbet's genetic clone. 1000 year old bitch grooming a 18 year old, then calls her an inferior copy as if not understanding the difference between Beta's and Aloy's rearing. One was taught to be fearless, determined, inquisitive, and strong willed. The other was broken by her handlers since she was young. Even her name was meant to denigrate her; Elizabet was the Alpha Prime.

This is why I quickly went through to the ending. I tried upgrading my favourite weapons, and decided it was fucking stupid and I hate it. The only real blemish on a strong system. I couldn't handle the grind anymore; I was losing patience and interest in the game because of it. Hell, I put 20 hours into Final Fantasy VIII Remastered in the last two weeks because of it.

It was a solid game. I didn't like it nearly as much as the first one though. My core memory of it is the combat just being needlessly fucking annoying. Shellsnappers might be the worst enemy I've ever encountered in a video game, they are obnoxious design through and through. And I think if a robot armadillo the size of an SUV rolled into me at this very moment, I'd get off the ground faster than Aloy does.

The highlight of the game was definitely Aloy uploading HEPHAESTUS into the Far Zenith matter converter thing and unleashing a swarm of robot t-rexes on them.

I recommend FatBrett's videos on Far Zenith and Ted Faro. Far Zenith is particularly enjoyable; he calls them the most pathetic villains he's ever covered on his channel.

I hope we get the finale.....eventually. I'm curious to see where they go with Nemesis. Will we get part of the game in space!?

Will be sad to not hear Lance, I guess we'll still have his likeness in the character model. I wonder if they'll leave that alone or alter it with the cast change. I think I recall something about Guerrila reaching out to his family to get their blessing on some things.
Stand out, fit in
Loved Forbidden West. It didn't hook me as much as the original mystery in the first game, but it still had some fun twists and turns. I wasn't expecting the impending doom from Nemesis. That should make for a fun finale though.
