I'm off. It's on Monday FYI.

I'm leaving early on Thursday, taking off Friday and Tuesday. Gonna have a wonderful 5 day weekend.
Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's that simple

My normal days off are Monday and Tuesday so no. But if the holiday falls on your normal workday I always work. You can request it off but the only one I ever took was New Years Day like 20 years ago because Im a huge college football fan and all the big bowls used to be on Jan 1.

Nope. I work for the state and we get all federal holidays off. I'm not taking extra days off for it though.

I got drafted to work 6PM-Midnight.

No big deal, like the 3rd time I got drafted to work a holiday.

Rude that I still work 7am the next day though.

Yeah, 1.5x for the 6 hours, and then I get 8 hours of just regular-ass pay regardless if I worked or not anyway. So I guess I'm getting 17 hours of pay for 6 hours of work.

I'm not, because I asked off for it.

Ironically, I completely forgot it was Labor Day, I just decided I'm going to try and take a three-day weekend every month if I can, and this was the first month it came up.

No, I have most federal holidays off unless it's a fiscal month end weekend which sometimes does fall on one

I work in a 24/7 industry so, yes.

I actually couldve taken off but I offered to work lol I can use the extra money and its from home anyway

Yes, I am scheduled to work a 12 hour shift and it's one of 3 holidays per year that gives 3x pay, called a super stat.

Don't know yet. The one thing I hate about my job is they don't put out the new schedule until Friday afternoon for the next week.

In a round about way, yes, considering my whole week is centered around a wedding due to their poor planning. I'm sure planning worked perfectly for them, but it was bad for me. I would even go so far as to say horrible, even.

We get the day off but I'm gonna be working anyway to catch up on some stuff before the end of the fiscal year. I also have to give a demo at a local university with my boss and assistant boss (no pressure) a little over two weeks from now

So I'm looking forward to planting myself on the couch all weekend and programming with dubbed anime I've already watched playing in the background. Just like grad school ( ._.)
