I've never had it but I'm sure their chicken is decent. KFC isn't even edible anymore so it's not exactly hard to beat that.

As a Filipino, I'd rate Popeye's slightly higher than Jollibee on taste alone. The problem with Popeye's is that it's terribly inconsistent depending on the location.

I find Popeyes slightly on the saltier side and their fries arent as good. But both chicken come close. I agree with the spaghetti being gross though. Dont they use banana ketchup for the sauce or something?

I tried the regular 3 piece tenders the other day and I thought it was so bland. Wheres the flavor???? No salt or spices or anything.

I have these two acquaintances, Filipino husband and his Italian wife. Their kids, who are now adults, prefer Filipino spaghetti (and other Filipino noodle dishes) to Italian pasta dishes. When the kids were young, their dad worked from home often and would cook for them.

In Chicago we have a pizza chain that is like that. They're named D'Augostino's, IIRC. It's so sweet that you can taste the added sugar, probably more than is in ketchup, even. I dislike them heavily for that reason.

and fwiw, a fried up potato isnt really appetizing for me.. least not without ketchup.. Ive tried it with aiolis of all nature and, of course, mayo, but Ive just never felt great about double dipping into the man.. this is already loaded with things I dont need

but you may be onto something.. a baked potato with mayo instead of sour cream >_>

err.. mentally Im not sure where that sits with me, but I guess Ill have to try it at some point
