This isn't the logic the right works on. They're happy to call it the Gulf of America because their strongman daddy, who they agree with, changed the name, exerting agency over something else. They don't like when trans people change their names because that's a minority, someone they hate, exerting agency over themselves. It has never been about anything except power.

As much as it's fun to point out, you can't use conservatives' hypocrisy against them. They don't care. They have no standards and morals. They have no true beliefs or principles. All they know is hate and spite and whatever their masters tell them to believe.

I can't think of any scenario in which I'd ever be asked to state the name of that Gulf out loud. Unless for some reason I'm suddenly a Geography teacher, or it comes up in a Trivia game.
