After having played it more, I think this might be my last Zelda game and I don't know if I'm going to finish this. It's stupid easy and some of the echoes you get make it completely trivial to do nearly any puzzle you encounter or just completely bypass them. This is how they approach so many franchises now and it sucks. My younger relatives get bored from their games and move into other stuff. It feels patronizing, their games used to be challenging despite being marketed for all ages.
I really don't like this new design philosophy from Nintendo for Zelda games where they give you tools to make the games completely trivial and boring.
Nintendo is showing continuous hatred towards dungeons and anyone who enjoyed Gameboy Zelda.? It has standard classic Zelda dungeons
? It has standard classic Zelda dungeonsPeople who make those complaints aren't the kind of people that actually can have their mind changed with new information.
It's alright. Combat is way too slow though, and as a result the game is needlessly difficult. Also, the UI is bad. I also feel like Zelda moves too slowly, but I think I'm just used to being able to sprint.

I love classic Zelda but have basically zero interest in this. A Link Between Worlds was already a step in the wrong direction (but still good). I hate the new freedom do whatever you want open world game design philosophy that has become standard for every game now. That's basically how all Zelda games have been to varying degrees. Obviously there are progression-based items to help you on the way, but you can do really strange stuff like skip the candle in Zelda 2.
