Two different RE4R discs? What's going on here?

So a year ago I bought RE4R on Amazon when it was on sale and received the disc on left. I've had a huge backlog I've been getting through and I'm now finally ready to try to play this game, except my Xbox does not read this disc at all. It doesn't recognize anything is even in the disc drive.

I bought a used copy for cheap, the disc on the right, and noticed the art on the discs are completely different. The back of the disc is also completely different (Image below). But both discs came in cases that look exactly the same, both front and back cover art. I've searched on eBay and the only discs that ever comes up are ones with the art on the right. This disc works perfectly fine.

So what happened here? Did I get sold a fake copy from Amazon? What's up with the weird purplish back of that disc?

Does your PC recognize the fake disc?

100% a fake on the left. looks like a normal cd. someone maybe did a return and kept the legit disc, a lot of effort to print a fake disc to return tho l

Is the game on the disc or it just enable you to download the game?

And the disc on the left looks like a CD, so it's probably fake.

Damn. Yea. Someone on Reddit pointed out the copyright year on the left disc is 2021. So definitely fake. It also says Dolby Audio instead of Atmos.

Sucks I'm out the money I spent on it. I should check discs the moment I get them.

Definitely a lot of effort to swap the fake disc and completely reseal the game case as if brand new. Would never expect to receive something like this from Amazon.
