Dirty France needs to get off their high horse. The horse is in the water too!
The horse is in the water too!The horse is on the menu.
See how many more get sick.
Can't be that bad if it's only one athlete. A lot did their second triathlon today. Most public swimming pools have E.coli.
It's two that we know of so far, and they delayed the event because the river had levels of E. coli that were way too high.
Also, chlorine kills e. coli
Yeah, but it's not always used properly, so . . .

Also, the Paris Games have been great. The nationalistic armchair whining about them is laughable.
so hopefully France never gets to host the Olympics again, right? They are scheduled to have the winter Olympics in 2030
Yeah swimming in a river in a large city, no matter the city, seems like a terrible idea.My local one might be ok down stream. Past the main city. Hell no. The outlet either since it has a naval base near by.
A river doesn't need to look or smell like the Ganges River to be a hotbed of bacteria. Most rivers that run through cities you want to absolutely avoid getting into.

They spent 1.5 billion trying to clean the river leading up to the Olympics and its still nasty and needed to be delayed to even be able to use it. What a waste.

The outlet either since it has a naval base near by.I live in STL so on the Mississippi river and wouldn't get caught dead in the river south of the twin cities in MN. The river by its source is beautiful but once it goes through the twin cities things start getting gross.

Is that the river French people were pooping in as protest?Yes but even before that it's been a shit river for like 300 years
Im in the Twin Cities and still wouldnt touch that water.Same. I fish it north of the cities, but I never eat anything i catch from the river
Whats funny is people let their dogs swim in it, then call us wondering why their dog has hotspots afterwards.
It's like swimming in the thames. Why did they double down on this??every country wastes billions on the olympics America will be no different sadly
Was one of the sick people one who ended up puking like 10 times right after swimming in the river? He personally stated he was puking because he was way too hot. He's from Canada and trains in much cooler weather, and he just overheated in France.
He personally stated he was puking because he was way too hot. He's from Canada and trains in much cooler weather, and he just overheated in France.Oh. That explains that.
