One word that best describes this movie: pretentious. It's basically the Juno of 1999, winning a bunch of awards and being lauded as one of the best movies ever made, but upon rewatch you realize how it was just a product of its time.Really? You hated it? It was funny

I think Kevin Spacey being the lead character kinda makes people look a bit more negative in hindsight than they might have prior to the accusations/coming out.Yeah I loved that movie
I liked it. It seemed to follow in the footsteps of others in the time period like Matrix and Office Space about hating working those 9-5 office jobs.

I didn't hate it, but it's 100% a product of its time. It's a movie that's so full of itself. You thought plastic bag scene was very funny?
But I did laugh my ass off at 2 scenes, the one where the dad thought Kevin Spacey's character was having sex with his son and the plastic bag scene.
https://youtu.be/OX1-G69WLzo?si=w-sw6g0L1gA6-LIxI never liked this take. Sure it's a funny line, but there's nothing wrong with finding/appreciating beauty in simplicity.

I don't know if pretentious is the right word, although you may be right.
Upon rewatch, like Juno, it's definitely a movie that thinks it's more "clever" than other movies.
I always said that about Gilmore Girls whenever I watched it.
What's wrong with Juno?
