Well it's the most memorable for me by far. Very disturbing tho, yeah. That said I havent read many books written by women. Idr the classics we had to read in HS plus I just uhh used spark notes tbh. Im currently reading The Sentence by Louise Erdrich but making very little progress because I'm really into oldschool runescape rn.

I'm not going to say favorite, but a book I really enjoyed when I was younger that hasnt' been mentioned is The Ear, The Eye, and the Arm.

Frankenstein is a good choice

I also really enjoyed Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde. More so for the premise.
