And

There's always something, by Gilda Radner.

I don't read a lot of novels or biographies. These leaving an impression on me is a serious feat.

Virginia Woolf is awesome. Her books are up there for me. But I think I've gotta go with The Tale of Genji.

I'm not going to say favorite, but a book I really enjoyed when I was younger that hasnt' been mentioned is The Ear, The Eye, and the Arm.

Frankenstein is a good choice

I also really enjoyed Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde. More so for the premise.

Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. It's where my sig is from. Amazing book, highly recommend it for anyone into dystopian futures.

Honorable mention to Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood.

Oryx and Crake was probably my other top choice I considered, also Atwood.
