The ninja one? They made a black ninja? Well that is silly. What's silly about it? Tekken's been doing it for years.
The ninja one? They made a black ninja? Well that is silly. There are two protags. One is a kunoichi (female ninja), and the other is Yasuke.
Gamers just don't want Black people in their games or entertainment in general, at least not in significant roles.I liked this take on it.
Isn't this historically accurate as there was a noteworthy Black samurai?Yup, I don't think we know much about him, so he's a perfect character to use in a fictional setting like this. He's a blank slate to tell their story with.
It's pretty funny but also tiring. But its not even first black protagonist in the series.
Literally based on a real personThe woke mind virus has infected history!
But its not even first black protagonist in the series.I don't remember anyone complaining about AC3 having a Native protagonist in a game taking place in Colonial era America. Makes you think about how much social media discourse has ruined everything.
its becoming really obvious this is reactionary
Why the actual shit are they like this?Because they are bigoted racists.
I liked this take on it.Also that you play as a Welsh guy in the Caribbean

Notice how they staunchly ignore that Kassandra and Woman Eivor are the canon protagonists.
Isn't this historically accurate as there was a noteworthy Black samurai?Oh woulja lookit that
I do not understand how some people can just be angry all the time. And I do mean all the time. Not because of price gouging or buggy games or whatever, but because of black characters. Why the actual shit are they like this? The alt-right deliberately and intentionally poisoned the gaming community, because the Western gaming community is predominantly made up of young White men and teen boys, many of whom may also be social outcasts. They're the perfect targets for spreading their hate.
I liked this take on it.They also ignore the Egyptian protagonist as well

He's a blank slate to tell their story with.Lol, actually first read this as "black slate".
Its pretty tiring to hear people cling to Yasuke as if he was some major figure.
He had a really mediocre Netflix anime (where he played second fiddle to a random little girl and a bunch of mechs), was a random extra boss in Nioh, and so on, yet people keep acting like he was some badass on par with Nobunaga.
and the other is Yasuke.
Lol, actually first read this as "black slate".Ha, that's the type of thing I've been doing all day since I didn't get enough sleep.
Id say Yasuke seems to be overly milked for such a minor historical figure, but theres certainly nothing wrong with the game over it.

isn't the protagonist of Nioh, a game set in feudal japan, a white guy?
I liked this take on it.who i dont know anything about AC so no idea who kassandra and eivor are

Based on William Adams from history, yes.
William Adams was a well-documented Englishman who actually had a pivotal role in Japans history.
People bringing up Nioh and Shogun as whataboutisms arent being clever.
I dont think Yasukes existence should be relevant since this is just a video game that never claimed to be historically accurate.
I just dont want to see people spin this as an African man attacking Asians.
who i dont know anything about AC so no idea who kassandra and eivor areOdyssey and Origins both had two possible player characters.
