Some do but its not common, or if they dont have a license to sell alcohol they can give it away for free.

Just go to a pub if you want cheap food with drinks. We have spoons in the UK, I'm sure there's something equivalent in the US. 8.75 gets you a beer and a burger which is pretty decent.

I looked up the answer. Fast food restaurants rely primarily on drive thru customers and serving alcohol to someone in their car a big no no.

Yeah I worked at a theatre that served alcohol and most people werent licensed. They were even allowed to pour beer and wine as long as they were 18.

Maybe in McDonald's case they're considered a safespace meaning lost kids can go there and McDonald's has a policy of helping them. Can't have no drunk fools running around kids.

Maybe different state laws, here you can serve at 18 but you must be certified

this is because you can be held legally liable if you serve someone drunk or if someone drunk causes a wreck, hurts people, etc.

You are liable for serving them

its possible your theater was probably breaking the law and had very inept management, too
