I've been reading old Nintendo fansites, and I've noticed a lot of them portray Mario as a glory hog who steals the spotlight from Luigi.

Why do people do this? Mario's the mascot of Nintendo, of course he's gonna get most of the spotlight.

I don't think I've ever once seen someone call Mario a glory hog.

Luigi is actually the filthy rich brother.

I recall mario having a pretty supportive relationship with luigi outside of that one power tennis where Mario stepping on luigi's shoe after his championship win (which is played for laughs anyway)
