i had to get an MRI once because of a seizure that resulted in being in a hot house with not enough fluids.

they said it's likely that it wouldn't happen again. i fucked up my back for a month as a result and loss interest in gaming because the pain was so bad.

all i remember was being on my computer at the time, don't have any memory after that point other than waking up in an ambulance.

I've had so many MRIs done, it's not even funny.

There's a very very mild claustrophobia for me, in the sense that I worry what happens if there's an emergency, but that goes away quickly.

For me the hardest part is staying still. I've never been the type that likes to stay in one spot for too long.

No didn't bother me

I vaguely remember them having to do one over as a kid, but otherwise no they've never had a problem thankfully.

Epilepsy is a category of neurological disorders, but the common factor is that they all trip up neuron firing, causing blackouts and seizures. MRI's can detect some of the factors that cause epilepsy, but not all.

I've got epilepsy myself, though a mild case.

You can mess the MRI up if you move too much, so if they've got you in the machine they usually have something to help hold you steady. I never had a problem with claustrophobia myself, so the MRI didn't bother me though I could definitely see how it could affect people.

Thankfully, no.

No but I had a CAT scan when I was 7.

I don't remember any pain or discomfort, I just slid into the machine and got it done.

I have!

And no, it wasn't claustrophobic at all.

I actually fell asleep during it.

I had an MRI when I was very young. I barely remember it.
"It was horrible," guard Jeff McInnis said.
"I took 100 naps and we were still in the air."
Yeah a couple.

One for my brain, one for my legs.

Well the legs one might have been something mildly different but it was still an MRI type machine. I had to drink something and it made my bones light up under a scan
The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt.
I'm trying to remember the difference between an MRI and a CAT scan. I feel like the later was slightly more annoying but I don't remember why.

MRI uses magnets, CAT uses x-rays.
I'm the eyehole man. I'm the only one that's allowed to have eyeholes! Get up on outta here with my eyeholes!

One has the radiation dosage of about 200 x-rays, the other one doesn't.

Yep. Dosage varies depending on what the CT is of.

Yeah I guess then, then doing a CT must be cheaper for them

When I was a kid I had to have a full body MRI done. I remember being scared. I also remember my mom buying me Pokmon Ruby after

I had one for my brain last month actually. Epilepsy diagnosis, ordered for further testing etc. I can remember it pretty clearly so ask me anything.
I have had several.

4 for the head ( multiple stroke survivor), chest twice ( born with a heart smaller then what it should be), pelvis once ( born with one leg half an inch shorter then the other) and once for my right foot ( 3 broken bones and a torn tendon)

and my claustrophobia kicked in hard every single time. Couple of times they gave me a sedative and I still couldnt handle it.

I've had 5 done, going for my 6th one later this month.

Didn't use to mind them but now I'm a bit claustrophobic so my doctor prescribed me a pill to help me relax during the MRI.

Haven't rode it yet, shooting for August to ride it but I'm still unsure about the height though.

Anyway, I've had 1 done for my back,1 one my neck, 2 on my knee and 1 on my head because I was having blackouts years ago.

This upcoming one is for my neck and back, getting both done in the same session so it's going to take longer than normal.

I really shouldn't be riding coasters given the 3 bulging disc's in my spine but if I didn't ride coasters I'd be bored as shit.

Also found out I have bone spurs in my neck.

But still not going to stop me

I could see you, but I couldn't hear you You were holding your hat in the breeze Turning away from me In this moment you were stolen...

FWIW my mum got an mri last week. Usually she gets massive claustrophobia, but was fine with the MRI and even fell asleep.

basically, due to both a severe case of claustrophobia and Aspergers autism I need to be completely knocked out in order to do it. Towel over the eyes and completely covering my ears because, and I dont remember to much, I get real violent trying to get out of the machine.

I havent hurt anyone mind you, but I have damaged medical equipment trying to get out.

I had one done when I broke my shoulder bike riding. I barely fit in the damn thing, but fortunately despite being mildly uncomfortable I managed to stay still for the duration.

Yes. I have some sort of pituitary gland growth that they wanted to monitor.

I don't really experience "claustrophobia" from just enclosed spaces alone; there also needs to be a lot of people/overcrowding. Which might not actually be designated the same thing as claustrophobia; I'm not sure.
I've had one done. The worst part was easily the noise.
