I prefer the length of my shorts to at least reach and preferably cover my knees. I think fashion trends are going in the other direction though as it's harder to come by shorts like that.

Not since the 80s when all you could get was incredibly short and tight shorts. As soon as the 90s hit and Michael Jordan and the Bulls started wearing long athletic shorts and then the Fab Five at Michigan popularized them even more finally the availability of long athletic shorts changed and I switched over to long and baggy.

Been that way the last almost 35 years and Ill never go back to short shorts. Its the equivalent of tighty whitey underwear. It was ok as a kid 40 years ago but Im not wearing that now.

I will also say though I never wear anything but athletic shorts. No cargo shorts, no Jean shorts, no type of dress shorts. 100% athletic shorts, most of them Adidas shorts. Athletic shorts tend to be long and baggy still. I like that. And Ill buy them big. Like XXXL because Ive always preferred big and baggy where I have a lot of room.

I've been trying to but sweat pants that don't have elastic at the ankle and that's getting harder and harder to find in stores. I don't want joggers. I went to a Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour and Champs outlet store the only one that had anything was Champs and they had one color.

Well I only wear shorts when I'm working out, but even if I bought some jean shorts, I wouldn't get ones that stop above my knees. Just feels weird to me.
