I would have to watch the actual movie, because it reads like a twist that comes out of nowhere when you read the plot summary.
Like, it sounds like a normal home invasion horror movie, and then the second the heroine gets the upper hand the bad guy
breaks the 4th wall, grabs a TV remote and "rewinds" the movie, undoing the heroine's actions

I'm not here to argue the merits of the movie, becasue like I said I have not seen it, but that sounds like a "what can we do to make this different from every other home invasion horror flick, while also insulting the audience's intelligence?"
