Was thinking of limiting it to the main 16 games, since someone like Zack would easily get a lot of votes, for example. But whoever you want to go with for "other" is fine.

Noctis. I get people saying Zidane but he's like 16 and has no problem grabbing a girls ass.

15 was all about friendship so they displayed that more and while not my favorite member of the party I could see me getting along. I'd hope it's a package deal with the rest if his friends though I feel I'd get along with all of them

Zidane, butz, zack, cloud (I seen that cloud and red 13 gold saucer hang out scene and yeah, remake-verse cloud is relatively chill when he ain't freaking out) tidus, post dark knight cecil and squall would all be pretty chill to hang with. Overall its got to be zidane though.

Also, I don't even think the "Tifa was supposed to be the main character" thing is even true.

In her wikipedia page, " Tifa was designed by Tetsuya Nomura and was not present in early versions of Final Fantasy VII, as initially, the game was to have only three playable characters; the protagonist Cloud Strife, Aerith Gainsborough and Barret Wallace. "

Cloud was always slated to be the protag, it seems. Tifa was just made up later to balance out with Aerith. Which...I mean, I feel is obvious from just playing the game.
