X is time, Y is posts or topics depending on the graph.
A straight line means that there is no change in the average.
Posts/topics haven't increased, but they also haven't dropped off a cliff.
SHRIKE didn't like me pointing out reality since he wants everyone to think that there has been a dramatic fall in posting.
I take Umbridge at the use of the word "dramatic". I've gone through the topics and I feel like I've been relatively fair using comments such as:
"7 day average which takes into account lower traffic on the weekends is showing a dip again. It's only marginal but it's there."
"There has been an increase"
"Looks like things are flattening out now with not much variance in posts \ topics. Talking single digits % points for both."
"In terms of the 7-day average topic count has gone down but post count has increased."
If we want to compare where we are now to where we were a month ago:
In a month we've gone from an average of 922 topics a day down to 786 = 14.75% decrease.
In a month we've gone from an average of 31357 posts a day down to 28642 = 8.66% decrease.
To me that's a non insignificant decrease. I wouldn't phrase it as dramatic though. As I said in the other topic I imagine things will plateau over the coming weeks once the usual suspects are removed from the board and won't be able to come back.
You are of course entitled to hold a differing opinion and offer your own analysis sir.
I do apologies for claiming you were engaging in a pissing contest. That wasn't far. I'm sorry.
