It's not like Ramsey or James, though. Their jobs are being good at cookery and basketball respectively. Ellen is a persona adopted for entertainment purposes.
It would only be like finding out a news broadcaster wasn't all that interested in current affairs. Or that a children's entertainer didn't like kids. As long as they are doing the job competently, it doesn't matter. You don't get the 'real' person, you get showbiz.
