Who is selling McMuffins for a dollar? I need to know cause thats not the Mcds near me.
The bundle is $2.50 here
I assume they consider the actual price $1.50 per hash brown, considering the 2 for $3 deal.

I've been scratching my head for decades on how the average FF place prices chicken above beef.

honestly the actual cost to them is probably 75 cents or less.

If you buy menu price, they literally consider you a sucker.

Wholestock too. Less demand so they order less. The more of something you buy at a time the cheaper it generally is when dealing with wholestock

McDonald's sacrificed potatoes to make other food especially Big Mac cheaper. Also, fountain drinks cost you almost 3 buck for large drink. Unfortunately, this is same true for other fast food restaurants.

It's really telling that swapping out the probably-mostly-soy low grade sausage for a single real-life egg more than doubles the cost of a McMuffin.

Well, there are two ways of looking at it. Option one says how is the sausage patty and muffin cheaper than the egg. Which you've clearly noted

Option two says how is the egg more expensive than the sausage patty and muffin. You gotta bear in mind, you can buy eggs for a couple bucks a dozen, at grocery store markups.

Probably both of them are accurate.
