This is deflating. This ruins the momentum from the recent elections. On top of that, the Dems who voted for this arent up for reelection in 2026, so this might spoil the midterms for everyone else too. This sucks.
What also sucks is that the GOP did this, and yet the Dems will get the blame here. Maybe its deserved in this case, but this is what sucks about politics. The GOP always avoids consequences.
