To me it sets a bad precedent. Not only is it a vague reason to ban something but it feels like it was proposed by people that don't even understand the apeal of social media. Having people like that make decisions that could affect the lives of millions is not a good feeling.

This bill specifically includes Ukraine funding, which is why it passed in the first place. Republicans purposely attached the Tiktok shit to a bill that included Ukraine funding. I have no comment on how much/how helpful/whatever the funding is, but the entire point is that this bill does actually include funding now . That's how the Tiktok shit got passed in the first place.
