So you can either
1) have inadequate officers
2) have no officers if you increase barriers to entry
While there's a sizable "defund the police" movement, I personally am a fan of having police. A semblance of law and order is better in my opinion than anarchy.

I remember this, one of the other cops even told him to slow down several times but he kept on moving fast. That alone should be enough proof of wrong doing.From the body cam video, it seemed to me it was the shooter who was the one telling the other officers to slow down, so he could take point in front of them (because he was armed with a rifle and they had pistols)
