okay no, someone's fucking around and laughing, getting people to think these are real and not prank edits, right?
...right?
So this is what people mean when they say that anti-sex isn't a thing. They mean the proper term is anti-horny.

I refuse to believe there are human brains concerned about this.

They're talking about this in the reset era thread on sweet baby inc, apparently they think it's all a lie and that you can easily restore the old body types just by choosing it >_>
Anyone wants to verify?

Anyone wants to verify?
I tried to make my character built like a weight lifter, but the chest slider only seems to give him man boobs instead of pecks. I lift 5 days a week so I guess my body type just isn't allowed? Now I know how pretty women feel when trying to create themselves in modern games lol. SucksWith a hoodie on you can slide the muscles up, and shoulders up, weight in the middle, chest in the middle, hips one notch above middle. Not the best but adds some bulk.
I hadn't considered this, but it makes sense and it's actually pretty upsetting. All genders have the same "chest" slider as one of the customization options, but even when it's set to zero, my male avatar looks like he's got more than pecs. "Shoulders" and "waist" are other options, but you can't really configure them to get a masculine frame. At max, the shoulders are still narrow, and the hips are sizeable even at a low setting. You're basically locked in to having certain feminine proportions.
For me, it's just kind of funky. I'm not too attached to Pokemon and I've only been playing this game a few months. But some people have been playing for years and really relate to their avatars. I could see this update causing real body-image issues.
It's funny because it means they're hearing everyone's complaints, they just don't give a shitIt's Niantic. They never did over all the money people are still giving them for some reason.
The only time I remember them listening to the fans is when they increased the pokestop spin radius during covid, then reverted it back soon after. Everyone was outraged so they increased the radius back again, but were very passive aggressive about how they announced they were reverting itWhile there are obviously flaws with Niantic lets not go with the whole better developer side because the nature of phone games will always try to find ways to monetize the consumers because by their very design they have to gain something to constantly continue as a service.
I think it's one thing for a Japanese dev studio to be very insular, like Nintendo or something. But western studios like Niantic can't really get away with that imo. There's a reason every single other game they've made has failed. They are bad game developers who make bad business decisions and ignore their playerbase's wishes
If they didn't luck into literally the largest media franchise in the world, they would have gone out of business years ago since nobody gives a shit about augmented reality anymore. I really wish The Pokemon Company would pull the license and give the game to a better developer. It could be a much higher quality product that makes more money and is more player-friendly
While there are obviously flaws with Niantic lets not go with the whole better developer side because the nature of phone games will always try to find ways to monetize the consumers because by their very design they have to gain something to constantly continue as a service. Not necessarily, Nintendo itself has multiple smartphone games that are much more player-friendly AND are much less aggressive with the monetization
Not necessarily, Nintendo itself has multiple smartphone games that are much more player-friendly AND are much less aggressive with the monetizationWhich by all means are probably not as popular by design. On top of that you pull the license from Niantic doesnt mean you magically get the same game from another developer anyhow.
Which by all means are probably not as popular by design.Right, because those games aren't the #1 media IP in the world like Pokemon. I already said that. If Niantic didn't luck into the Pokemon IP, they'd be toast by now
On top of that you pull the license from Niantic doesnt mean you magically get the same game from another developer anyhow.I know it won't happen... I'm just saying I wish it would. Plenty of more player-friendly, and just plain better, mobile developers out there
Why are they deleting every post criticizing the change?They're... not? I couldn't tell you why that post got removed, but the sub is still absolutely flooded with critical posts about it that are many hours if not a day+ old already.
