They were the opener and it felt like an eternity
Are they known for more than an 80s cover band?
Opening for who

I saw them years ago and they were amazing

I love Weezer but they do bring a "performing at gunpoint" energy to the function.

Still seeing them this summer tho
Ghosts are cool.

Really? I saw them like two years ago and they blew me away
Cookin like a chef, I'm a 5 Star Michelin
opening brings a different energy
Surprising because their songs are easy as fuck to perform live which means theyd be able to have some fun on stage.

I am thinking about just walking into the river now that Megaupload is gone and condoms are in porn .-Fubonis
I thought they were okay. The Pixies opened for Weezer (which seems wrong), and The Pixies were awesome. This was 2019.
Currently playing: Cyberpunk 2077
They performed at my college back when I was in school, I remember it being a good show. Not like MGMT the following year, they were awful live.

Why would that seem wrong

Weezer is a much bigger band even if they didn't come first. Same reason Bad Religion opened for Rise Against and why Smashing Pumpkins are opening for Green Day.
Oh, I understand from a popularity standpoint for sure. But Pixies are such an influential and incredible band. I am just making a comment about how it should be. I get it though.

Getting old is a MF. I just saw Jimmy Eat World open for fallout boy and thinking 20 years ago it would be the other way around. I also felt the same when I saw pixiesnopen for weezer
I've seen Weezer twice and The Rentals once and The Rentals made a much bigger impression on me.
Saw them at Reading Festival a few years ago.

Not one of my favourites, but they did a rueful cover of Teenage Dirtbag, and the singer got in the mud.

They were fun.
'Vinyl is the poor man's art collection'.
Now I'm listening to the Pixies while making waffles
Currently playing: Cyberpunk 2077

Have the rentals performed live in the past two decades? I didn't care too much for their first couple of albums but Lost in Alphaville and Q36 are right up my alley.
Ghosts are cool.
Their debut blue album came out literally just weeks before I graduated high school. I played the hell out of that all summer before I left for the Navy. Still listen to it and love it to this day.

Pinkerton was a solid follow up and to be honest I really didn't follow them after that. Really the only song I ever hear played on the radio consistently outside the stuff I already knew was Island in the Sun off the Green album and then the Africa cover which I quite like really.

Another band that I feel their debut album was the strongest and I can play over and over again.

The two most boring bands I have ever seen live were Radiohead and Paramore
I think their main singer is really introverted and does not like being in front of people.
