If they can capture the same spirit of playing the board game like how the new DnD movie captured the spirit of playing a DnD game, I can see this being a pretty damn hilarious movie.

Wow I can't believe she is going to Risk it , if it doesn't do well she would be Sorry. But that still is a lot of pressure that will be on her Chess. Does she even have a Clue of the potential Crossfire shes stepping into? If the audience doesnt buy it, she could be facing Trouble, if she manages to Connect Four audiences of all ages, shell be the Queen of this cinematic Game of Life.

I think they're saying they plan on making a tv series, but a direct sequel is unlikely because it bombed at the Box Office, which is unfortunate because I had a lot of fun with the movie without knowing a damn thing about DnD in general.

I used to love that game in the 80s. Amazon sells a modern remake of it. But that is what it looked like in the 80s. Players move their people from the center content to one of 4 corner islands and the one with the most survivors safe on an island is the winner. Each turn a piece of Atlantis is removed. And there are sharks and sea monsters and shit that can kill your people

It could be a cool movie

Monopoly was literally created as an anti-capitalism game, so if that's what the movie is then it's being true to the source material.

I'd say it's supposed to be their job to do so. Ideally they'd try to make every project as good as their most successful project, as opposed to what we have where they will half-ass the effort, funding, promotion, or make something intentionally terrible so they can not release it and have it be a tax write off.
